Hello fellow Bigg Boss fans!
This season hasn't been an instant hit with me and I am still trying to wrap my head around the 'jannat' and 'jahanum' concept of the show which frankly is proving to be quite dull and tedious but one thing I'm pleasantly surprised by is that in this season unlike previous seasons I've watched the female contestants are really bringing it - and not in a 'screaming banshee' (Dolly Bindra), 'borderline nympho' (Veena Malik), 'borderline unhinged' (Pooja Missra), or an 'enabler of loopy men' (Pooja Bedi, Sonny Leone, Juhi Parmar) way but in a 'holding their own without losing their marbles' way.

Here are my favorite girls this season:

Gauhar Khan - She's a bit wordy and has a few too many opinions but she thinks for herself and speaks for herself - what I like the most about her so far is the advice she gave to Ellie about standing up for herself in a dignified manner and asking for an apology, she doesn't shy away from confrontations but does so with integrity.

Taneesha Mukerjee - I always thought Taneesha would be the spoiled sister of Kajol but surprisingly she is simple and sweet and gets her opinion across whilst still respecting others. Her advice to Kushal on respecting the platform he has been given and how potentially life changing it can be was gold - she gets the bigger picture and doesn't entertain pettiness.

Kamya Punjabi - Mature, sensible, and confident Kamya is one I'd bet on to win this show if I was a betting woman - she holds her own and gets her point conveyed without hurling furniture or tearing her lungs out and she understands that true confidence lies not in how loud one can speak but in how strong one's character is.

Shilpa Agnihotri - I haven't seen this lady laugh or joke around too often although I'm sure she does that but she does come across has strong and free thinking. If I had to give her a nickname it would probably be the silent tigress, she doesn't go on yelling sprees nor does do a lot of whining but one knows better than to mess with her.

I feel Hazel Keech went too early from the game probably, she had a dry sense of humor and wasn't just the happy-go-lucky pretty girl she was presumed to be - would've loved to see different sides to her as she seemed the most relatable to an average girl but probably that doesn't make the best TV.

Side Note: I might agree or disagree with the opinions and actions of these women but I do admire them for not resorting to whining, yelling, and being led by men and for actually being in control of themselves and for thinking for themselves.

Nice post...I agree with most of what you said except Kamya...I was impressed with her initially but now I am not so sure. Her alliance with that loose canon 'Arman' worrying me also 'Pratusha' both are nasty characters.

Nice post... Agree... I do like Ratan too... Very free spirited and not a schemer... At least for now... Elli is sweet too, her minus point is she is not able to convey her thoughts as languAge is a barrier for her...
