BTW, her off screen interviews with co-star Siddharth Shukla were more popular than BV.And to a channel having a star bankable in international markets means pure profit, no overhead.And she was told all this by her fans... which completely shocked her! Is she popular? To you personally no. Hey she wasn't that popular to herself either till recently, that might explain her saying did you read... coz she got links and copies of many articles about her after she left BV. But to the millions all over - yes! She's got fans in Fiji... and that shocked me!on personal note, I don't watch daily soaps... until one day someone told me look at this girl... and the rest is history...

We also have Colors but had no idea who Pratyusha was till JDJ. There's a lot of shows to watch and follow and NOT everyone everywhere follows these shows. According to the UK ratings, QH and DABH have the most followers and US ratings shows DABH and some other shows. Hence, BV might not be as popular. Also, how many in the younger generation watch a lot of the soap operas when they already follow so many American shows?! Derr! And a lot of people here (IF) didn't know about Prats either. She has a particular demographic that loves and follows her. A lot of people that I know watch Star Plus way more than Colors and are more acquainted with those stars. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here.
As for popularity, she wasn't in my radar b/c she's no where to be found in the top 10 actors/actresses on the rankings system so go figure...her popularity resonances with a certain fan-base. Once again that's fine.
As for all the Balkan countries facts, articles please?! I usually don't read up on that stuff so of course would have no idea. Nor does it ever pop up in a daily conversation anyway b/c I don't know anyone that follows her. In addition to this, I don't remember an uproar about Pratyusha leaving...the show still rakes in pretty decent TRPs despite her departure from the current ratings lists. I remember a huge uproar when IPK ended and when rumors were flying of BS's replacement, but nothing of Pratyusha.
In general, the original point was the whole SRK vs Prats popularity statement and looked it up and found no source. That was the only thing that irked me. 😆
Finally, Prats made a HUGE deal with Ratan that she recently broke up with her BF and Ratan should have known?! That's where the popularity came back into question. Not everyone follows her life so why should they know?! Many, many people didn't know about her domestic violence case nor her BF nor about her break up. However, they learned via this show. That's the magic of the show. Prats isn't Anandi anymore so her popularity is bound to fall till she gets back to another popular show. Like, Smriti Irani or Mona Singh are still known as Tulsi and Jassi but is their popularity the same?! ummm, no! That's the magic of the show: even unpopular faces like Andy or Ellie have a chance of getting popular. And those of that had no clue about Pratyusha know what and who she is.
Honetly, if she was less arrogant in her articulation and vernacular skills the people that dislike her wouldn't pick on her words so much. And yes, it's dislike NOT hate. I save that word for monsters like Hitler or Stalin or Bin Laden...not people like Prats who is young and immature in her ways. So let's not throw around such strong words.
