I disagree having lived in another country (5+ different countries actually) for several years. Also, there is no singular "Indian acent". Indians all speak differently depending on if they are from South/North/West/East.

And the one thng that is mocked the most is our physical mannerism..the head-bobbing etc. But let's face it, more often than not its in good fun. like we make fun of the hand-gestres of Italians.

If you are truly getting a bad treatment in whatever country you are living in, I would instead pray for you and wish you would change such mocking friends :)

For most Indians under the age of 30, English is pretty much a 1st language having been the mode of study and conversation. So gone are the days where people can "smash" us. On the other hand people like Priya or even Diggy (who said she has an accent as she lsitens to english songs 😕😆) deserve the mocking due to their pretentiousness.

There is nothing wrong with a different accent...
Ppl get irritated by everyone be it Mandy ,Roch ,priya or diggi
Mandy is Irani so problem with her accent accepted...
Roch as far as I know is south Indian
South Indians don't know Hindi usually my south Indian frnds don't know Hindi
Priya when u live in other country for a long tym in affect ur accent
N if India can have so many diff languages why can't a country as large as Australia have diff accent

But yes I also find her attitude like a warden
No surprise HMS call her teacher
Always preaching something
Maybe profession affect person personality
I m not sure have seen this many timesv
