Priyas Fake accent and annoying 'Thank You'

She is not Auzzie born, her accent is not even even OZ. I understand a bit of accent but with her attempt to push it, is really annoying

Her explanation of OCI card also seemed as if she is someone special to get it.

Every time she says "Thank You" ( sounds like Tsank ewww ) - man, it riles me up

Plus her "warden type" attitude doesn't help at all either

She tries to speak in Aussie accent but ppl can see that she is faking that accent and doesn't wanna end up like abba jabba dabba accent like Roch and Mandy. 😆

I am not sure if u know any Iranians, but she doesnt have an accent, its natural for her and thas how they speak. I thin kudos to her to attempt even if she mixes up the gender regardless of it being right in Farsi

Roch - well, don;t think she has been brought up with speaking hindi at home, but yes her accent seems very imperialistic - almost like hunter wali. But her English is very Indian like

Diggi only spoke in that accent during her entry, after that - none so far AFAIK

Kish only puts an accent to tease, she is most "bindaas', guy type attitude

But this priya has this air about her, coz she made it to BB AUS Final, - never seen it, but could be a ploy from the organizers to show OZ is fair but all being said she is not Aus born and her accent is not even close to AUZ, its 'attempted north american'

Im so done with the accusations on her accent.

Let me clear this up or you:

Australia's a country where there are several types of accents due to the presence of several nationalities and not to mention the influence of where you live.

The typical 'Aussie' accents you may stereotypically know of (Miranda Kerr, Hemsworth brothers ect) derive from either the country or perhaps coastal areas within NSW, several areas in Queensland and perhaps other areas- but let me get this straight.

ITS NOT EVERYWHERE.In fact, there are several places where you'll find people whose English- while sounding somewhat English- is primarily just something else.

HOWEVER, Priya is from Perth- there are several types of accents- I myself LIVE in Australia (have been or the past 13 years) and can garuntee that my accent is quite similar to her.

My parents who are from Chandigargh and have spent majority of their life there also speak like her.

Don't generalise a country as large and diverse as Australia into one accent just to insult someone. Its so damn pathetic and offensive to people like me who actually have an accent like hers.

i dont find anything fake about priya other than her lashes.
we should be thankful that she atleast expresses gratitude... which is considered good manners.
and she speaks better hindi than the HMs who have lived in india all their lives.. this too is a welcome relief.
i dont have a problem with anyone's accent... not even diggy's. i wouldnt get worked up about someone's behaviour or accent on a tv show!

Priya is from Dehradun. She lives in Adelaide not Perth. Unlike a lot of people quoting 'all her life...' she has actually lived in India most of her life and only moved to Australia after her marriage. I knew her while she was still in India dating her to-be-husband. I moved to UK to study and lost touch with her...primarily due to her 'I want to go away from India rant' and 'plz help me get to UK or somehwhere foreign 😡'.

Australia like the USA is a country made of immigrants so there is no singular accent, however there are phrases and manners of speaking that are very Aussie (mate, etc.) I worked in Australia for about 4 years, lived around the world since, not picking any accent. Priya's accent is put on. When she appeared on BIg Brother-Aus she actually mentined that she was embarassed to be called Indian and used to introduce herself as Moroccan or some other 'exotic' nationality

The only real figment of Priya I have seen on this show is the cow task where she said 'India doesnot progress...or something to that effect'. That is how she has always been Good for her for being on Bigg Boss but her fakeness is amazing to those of us who have known her prior.It was hilarious to hear her say to Kishwar or whoever that She used to vry to want to move back to India.

Well you dont accept a foreign citizenship if you so crave to be back in India. And you get independent not depend on your husband to pay your mortagage and living.

This is not meant to be personal...I just tired of reading any excuse for n accent...its fine if people have an accent but they should own it.
