This sentence 'love her or hate her but u can't ignore her' has been so often used and so loosely used that it has become very cliched, but the one person who is very apt for this is Rimi.
And I think Y she's being so much talked about is that ppl r trying to figure her out but have been unsuccessful. In BB house sooner or later one gets an idea abt how the housemate is, but that has not been the case with Rimi. And the ironic part is that she has been the same since day1.
Am reading so many threads talking abt Rimi's character.
Someone said she lacks self-esteem and that's why talks about her weak points. I say it's the exact opposite. She is self-assured, very comfortable in her own skin and secure too. Knows exactly who she is. It's when one is insecure that one tends to hide oneself, but Rimi has been brutally honest to mention her weak points. Also she is not insecure abt her weakness, but acknowledges it.
She is a loner and an introvert. Her smile and laughter is her defense mechanism and in stead of reacting to situations she just smiles or laughs them off. U need to be mentally strong to do so. She has an uncanny ability to detach herself from unpleasantness and keep her sanity intact.
She is a very balanced person emotionally. Other than that one outburst when Salman played the 'ticket to finale' prank, I have never seen her cry or get overly excited about things. Many may find it being too unemotional, but being an introvert, I guess it's not easy for her to display emotions, that too on national TV.
As for the make-up part. As someone says that is a way to avoid joining in conversations that she does not want to join it. Yes it may seem rude and anti-social, but there has not been a single housemate who hasn't been rude, especially to her and she has never retaliated.
As for always being in make up. Let me tell u, I find Bengalis ones of the most well groomed people and I say this by experience. I had many Bengali friends when I was in college. They used to be immaculately dressed, would ensure they were properly made-up and looked groomed before leaving college for the day. Used to carry an umbrella with them always. Even when they used to have oranges they would squeeze the juice fro the rind and apply it to their face. So it's very much a part of Rimi's bringing up too. And more so as she's an actor.
Also she has not fought, screamed, shouted, cried or done any of those annoying things, but has stayed in teh BB house with a lot of calm and restrain. BB has tried through overt and covert methods to unsettle her, yet she has been resolute. Also she has put up passive resistance as a means to get evicted. At teh same time she is practical enough to know that she can't leave the house voluntarily as she will be penalized. So staying within the rules and her contract she's trying to get evicted from teh house. At the same time she does her chores in the house. Have never seen any housemate complain abt her not doing chores and also has good equation with all the housemates and they too value her inputs. She does not bitch. Gives her POV when asked without getting personal and pretty much keeps to herself.
I guess most of us are used to seeing ppl with a servile attitude and cannot understand someone who does nto confirm to it. But here Rimi is truly her own boss.
