I am not making it up, I have no need to. I watch a show like a show, i dont get anything by making up stuff for these characters who are not part of my life in anyway

They mentioned that those things will be used later on when all ration is out of stock. They did this to avoid housmates from wasting food and using things out of control. Salman had mentioned that previous season Praneet used to maintain ration stock, so Prince and suyash decided to keep it safe from others until it is really needed. They never said that they want it for themselves. That box was kept on top shelf of kitchen. I remember seeing the episode here in US.
