Born in Chandigarh, Suyyash Rai has been based out of Mumbai from quite some time.
He played cricket for Delhi for a few Ranji matches before injury forced him to abandon a cricketing career. He played the role of a musician Nisaar in Badtameez Dil. Suyyash has been in a relationship with Kishwer Merchantt since Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani. The couple have a difference of eight years in between them. Last year, Suyyash released a single, Khushnuma that featured him and her. Suyyash is also a photographer. In March 2015, he got beaten up by some goons on the Goregaon-Powai Road. Apparently, some people belonging to political party hit him with sticks. He filed a police complaint. He played in the Box Cricket League for Delhi Dragons.
