This last horrid week

This week in Bigg Boss has been a terrible one. Not because of it being boring, but due to all the dynamics of the game changing immensely. 5 new challengers were brought in the house, all of whom were terrible choices. With the contestant pool of 7 seasons, Bigg Boss could have certainly brought more likable yet entertaining challengers. Rather than make multiple posts on the incidents that occurred this week, I'm just going to make one outlining all of them and my opinions regarding them.

Perception of challengers prior to this week

Gautum

My opinion of Gautum has vastly changed after this week. I liked him quite a bit from the start of the season until his nonsense with Diandra, and started liking him again just before Diandra left. However, it appears as if there is another drought phase in Gautum's popularity (at least from my view) coming up. He has been spending way too much time recently with the new challengers, and their bad influence is certainly changing Gautum. Firstly, he's actually talking with a person like Sambhavna. That in itself is a very negative thing. Why would you even talk with a person with such a disgusting terminology and disrespecting actions? I would have hoped he would have been staying away from her as much as possible, but unfortunately the opposite is happening. In general, it isn't only Sambhavna. He needs to maintain distance from all of the challengers. I anticipated Gautum teaming up with the champions against the challengers, and would have greatly enjoyed that. That is because the champions are much, much likable people relative to the new challengers. However, it appears as if Gautum has started staying away from the challengers a little, and I hope it continues. Otherwise, I may have to retain my support from Gautum yet again. On the bright side, Gautum has been fairly entertaining this week and I hope he continues it. Just as a side note, I don't think he should have beend designated as the worst performer in the luxury budget task. I admit that he didn't participate too much as a team due to his unfortunately growing attachment with the challengers, but he did manage to win an important task for the champions. What's worse is that by designating him as the worst performer, they lost him to the challenger side, which may perhaps increase his attachment with them.

Ali - Ajaz incident
The incident that occurred between Ali and Ajaz earlier this week was hilarious. But to put it briefly, Ajaz did commit physical violence to a large extent while Ali did not. Whether Ali was faking an injury after that or not is irrelevant, as Bigg Boss reprimands people based on their actions and not the consequences of their actions. Ali could have been not hurt at all, or have had a broken shoulder blade. Either way, he would have been evicted.

Sambhavna - Dimpy issues
Dimpy and Sambhavna have been involved in several issues with each other all throughout the week. The first of those was when Dimpy was insistent on deciding everyone's duties even when Sambhavna didn't want to. Instead of asking Dimpy to talk about it later, she resorts to her disrespecting vocabulary and needlessly provokes Dimpy. Dimpy manages to control herself and leave the room only after a few actions to retaliate. Sambhavna then, clearly displaying her character, throws her slipper at Dimpy. I think this was a very important thing, because it truely shows what kind of a person Sambhavna is. The next big incident between them occured when Karishma was allocating everyone's duties, and Dimpy (as Karishma had asked Dimpy to remember all the duties) reminding Karishma of those duties. Sambhavna, for absolutely no reason, gets instigated and starts hurling insults. The irony of all of this was that Sambhavna calls Dimpy an ugly woman, who is in fact much more good looking than herself. Then Sambhavna goes on to make some hilarious body actions as an effort to insult Dimpy. That effort goes in vain and all it does it makes me laugh.

Dimpy - Rahul issues
Ever since Rahul came in the house, Dimpy has been visibly upset. This is largely due to Rahul needlessly flirting with women who are already in a relationship, right in front of his legally married wife. It is obvious that Dimpy would be upset by that. To add to that, Rahul doesn't stand up for Dimpy in any of her incidents with Sambhavna. Instead, after the fight is over, he goes and comforts both of them in a way that is filled with double meanings. Along with that, Rahul repeatedly insults Dimpy telling her that she is hated outside and what not. What Rahul doesn't realize is that she was disliked outside for some of her actions, and right now her behavior is completely justified. What's more is that not only is her behavior justified, it is also making the audience like her and stand up for her more.

Ali - Mehek incident
Ali was joking around with Mehek and jokingly made a mild comment on her career. We all know how the contestants are. Even if you just briefly mention one's parents, career etc, even if it is a compliment (for example when Gautum complimented Dimpy's father for being a lawyer), you get attacked. Mehek goes on to make a big issue of this small thing probably as an attempt to gain a little bit of sympathy. However, Ali is at fault here because he went and apologized. He did nothing wrong, so what is the need to apologize? Is Mehek that insecure about her career that she can't stand one small comment? Has she ever heard of critics? And then the recently brainwashed Gautum goes and makes Ali promise that he never makes a comment like that again...

Perception of challengers after this week
My perception of Sana has greatly changed throughout this week. She came out as a peaceful person in season 7, one who doesn't get too involved in fights. It seems she has changed this season, as she was seen using profane language and getting needlessly angry. To add to that, she falls under the influence of whoever is sitting beside her too quickly.

I thought of Sambhavna as a classless woman prior to this week, and my opinion of her has just worsened. She's been seen insulting someone (a woman, but I find that irrelevant), throwing her slippers and supporting physical violence. I don't think I have to say much about her as all of you have already seen the show and therefore her nonsensical actions.

I liked Rahul at the start of this week, but unfortunately he has gone downhill after that. I saw him insult people, needlessly cause arguments and fabricate information about the outside world. Much contrary to the "fun and entertaining guy" image that he had, he is being portrayed as an idiot.

I'm liking Mahek a little now. She seems to take a stand for what is right most of the time, but unfortunately she is becoming too attached to Sambhavna as well.

Thanks for reading.
