But he did well as he stayed for that long out completing ppl like Minisha, Deepshikha or Praneet ... but seriously he needs to learn Hindi if he wishes to succeed in B-Town

I am not saying that he shouldn't learn hindi, I for one would love to see him in Movies and let alone anyone who wants to be successful in Indian Cinema, but the advocates of Hindi should also give some space and not create mockery of the person either.

Upen's Hindi is decent. It's not like he doesn't know it at all. I visited India recently and was shocked that barely anyone speaks Hindi there, especially in larger cities... everyone speaks English.

thank you that is what my point is, if the viewers are not speaking Hindi all the time, and all the metro cities people want to be classy and speak in English then they shouldn't cry when they are watching a show and they are seeing contestants talk in English. I guess MTV, and Channel V shows are all in Hindi and they must be very purely in Hindi, I know you all will argue that Big Boss rules are to talk in Hindi, but isn't MTV/Channel V being seen in India by Hindi Speaking Audience. So again my argument is if we as viewers are not following of our culture of speaking our mothers tongue Hindi then we shouldn't expect or make fun of others who don't talk in Hindi. And same goes for Mr. Salman Khan, "do whatever you want to do" is in English just an FYI.

you can't compare viewers, metro cities people, south superstars and salman khan speaking english to upen speaking english in the bigg boss house. speaking hindi is a golden rule in the bigg boss house, and upen very well knew this rule so if he wanted to speak english then he shouldn't have entered the house. what language people speak outside the bigg boss house has nothing to do with what contestants speak in the bigg boss house. If you have a problem with the rules in the bigg boss house you should complain to bigg boss/colors/endomol directly, as us forums members do not have any control over that. Upen patel can speak whatever language he wants all day everyday BUT outside the bigg boss house... not inside (not that it matters anymore since he's been evicted 😆)

But it's a BB rule. And rules are rules! Why bend it for Upen Patel just because he happens to be a British Asian? Also, post eviction he gave an interview & it showed that he can speak Hindi...but he chose not to in the house. That just shows his arrogance.

Generally speaking, Bigg Boss has been pretty lenient in comparison to previous seasons. Contestants would get punished for speaking in English. This season's contestants have been let off lightly.
