Salman and people on this form try to bring down Upen for stupid reasons like Hindi problem or licking his lips because they have nothing else to use against him... overall Upen is a really nice guy. Everyone liked him, that's why he wasn't nominated for 10 weeks straight... but people still look for reason to bash him. For a London born Gujarati that never spoke Hindi at home (neither did his parents) Upen is actually pretty good!

qauz hindi is ur mother language and i think everybody should know the importance of a mother language

Just FYI, Rajnikanth is a Marathi and he can talk Hindi very well...and i agree with the comment if the other ppl you mentioned take part in BB they will be asked to follow hindi as its the rule of the game show.

Also i don't like upen but i do not support that language issue they always come up with against him.. His hindi is decent enough and just coz of the accent its sometimes tough to understand.. and sometimes he doesn't get the real meaning...Otherwise there is no Hindi/English problem with him IMO.. But he's been targetted on his language issues quite often..

Had I been in China for 10 Years I would have learned Mandarin and I can bet you for that ... this is called ignorance if you dont learn the language that is going to give you work ...

then how come Puneet isaar who have done 100s of hindi movies was given punishment for speaking in English several times till now,. 10 years in Bollywood or mumbai but look at the roles he did, he didn't do any lead roles where his hindi had to be furnished,. he was away from India for last several years due to personal problems. and my argument is not the fact that Upen could speak english but the fact that people/host have made mockery of his accent and him every weekend. You people are questioning Upen that 10 years in Bollywood and he can't speak hindi, Then same question goes for the South Superstars and Choreographers who are born and raised in India and they can't speak or Communicate in Hindi.

You make a very good point ... but allthose ppl you mentioned were or would have been nothing more than EYE CANDIES ... we considered Upen to be a real contestant and not an eye candy ... But he did well as he stayed for that long out completing ppl like Minisha, Deepshikha or Praneet ... but seriously he needs to learn Hindi if he wishes to succeed in B-Town

Problem is Indians and their double standards, If you are asking Upen and questioning him that how come you can't speak Hindi even after being in India for 10 years, then ask South Superstars why they can't speak Hindi even after doing hindi films and directing Hindi Films. It's not my problem it is problem of India, on one hand we are crying and killing in the name of religion/culture, then on other hand we are going against our culture. We cry when Honey Singh makes songs which are not appropriate for kids, but we have listened to every JayZ, Beyonce, and Pitbull songs that have come out till now. So moral of my argument is that why make fun of person because of his accent and you provoke and poke that person.
