If Upen has been around for 10 year, Gautam as been around for 7 years but he's always just had side roles on TV so no one really knew him.

Again, very valid reasoning. If you compare their achievements in their own fields so far, while Upen had to adjust to so many things in India, Upen is way ahead in his field. Gautam still couldn't go beyond a very small role in serials. That speaks volumes on their scopes / opportunities /potential for the future. So it can be safely said that Upen will continue to be way ahead of Gautam, in the industry.

Ya agree 100% these are PR activities but some people take these too seriously !!! 😆 The entities award these, have no credibility. Sometimes the entire web page is fake and made by the PR team. Since FANs never go to verify their authenticity.

Yes, so a lots of roles automatically slips away from his hands. Well loose personality, I won't consider to be a discredit, there are roles of that nature, which can suit him, but those are way underpaid and short lived and not available, because there are too many people competing for these roles.😛

Why are people looking down on TV? People like Barun Sobti, Sanaya Irani, Drashti etc. are WAY more popular than people like Upen IMO (And no, I'm not comparing them to Gautam). I'm sure Gautam will do well on the small screen 😊 And who knows.. maybe he can enter BW... he is still very young. 😊 The fact that his work has been to Cannes is a huge achievement 👏 Whatever happens in the future - he's gained lots of fans through his stint on Bigg Boss 😊

I don't think people are at all looking down on TV. But it's a reality that smaller roles in TV are less paid in comparison to even smaller roles in Films, Lead roles in Movie are incomparable to that of TV...But TV has a bigger viewer reach but a single hit movie can give a rocket propelled career.

So for many such advantages and disadvantages, artists of both industries are these days trying to have a presence in both...

Here we are not limiting their comparison to possibility of their success in Bollywood...i.e. The big screen only, since both have a common interest in this field.

The difference is that of a rising sun and a setting sun. Rising sun being Gautam and a setting sun being Upen. The way Gautam has conducted himself in teh BB house he is going places for sure. Upen came out as a pyscho, self obssessed and delusional guy.
