I dont think she is trying to make a discussion out of this. She pointed out to you a very common mistake that a lot of people on the forum unknowingly make.

If you really do have respect for women in general, then the least you can do is rephrase your original post. There is an edit button after all right?

Posting on a debate forum may or may not be seen by those of you who by default associate gossiping = women & chugali khor = aunty (without realizing what it means or how degrading it actually is).

I hope you can understand where she (& many like her) are coming from & the point they/we are trying to make.
