I think its because Shalin has an image outside.. she knows people don't trust him much inside the house..The chhapri gang especially dislikes him..I mean so do Gautam and all too .. plus Salman also humiliates him every weak..The official bad boy of the house..so she thinks associating herself with him, is gonna ruin her game.. so now by doing all this she is kinda directly giving out a message that I am not with him so don't judge me just coz we talk or have been linked up..
