OK so here is my theory. They wanted Nimrit versus Priyanka and were promoting Shalin and Sumbul. But Nimrit isn't getting the fanbase to push her in finale, so now they are wanting to break Shalin and Sumbul to encourage Sumbul to play alone to create strong rivalry with any of the popular contestant may be Tina who looked insecure today and can have potential rivalry with Sumbul And it can only happen when she gets separated from Shalin. I do feel, they are sidelining Shiv because he wasn't their candidate over bahus and beta ( Tina, Nimrit, Priyanka , Ankit, Sumbul)

About Ankit and Priyanka though, jaisi bhi ho bas inn dono ki hi equation ghar mein genuine lagti hain. Sure, that's because they've been co-actors and friends from outside but amongst the 'yeh meri friend hain/yeh meri friend cum crush hain/yeh meri crush hain/yeh meri kya hain kyun hain meri khud samjh nahi aa raha/main khud kaun hoon bhai' confusion in the house, inka kam se kam samjh toh aata hain. 😆
At one point, in that bedroom conversation they were having, Ankit looked so pained as if he couldn't decide whether to grab Priyanka's face and kiss her or go bang his head on a wall. I feel he too has dabi, dabi feelings for her while she clearly is invested in him as more than a good friend.
