What is akasa story?

I feel she is trying very hard to be friends with Pratik. Many a times she supports afsana in her fights just because pratik and Nishanth on her side. But pratik stepped back when Kundra tried match making...may he is scared that he has to face Kundra if he plays emotional games with akasa.
