If it's not justified - then his reaction, whatever it is, or how he chooses to deal with it has no bearing on the actions themselves. I don't give a free pass to the bullies because Eijaz isn't choosing to deal with it in a manner I or someone else prefers. In fact - the fact that Eijaz doesn't react in kind - i.e. doesn't ridicule at will and doesn't engage in below the belt mocking, is something I find appreciable about him.
He doesn't deserve sympathy because he chooses to be a lone wolf - he deserves it because people have been bullying him and treating him like utter shit at will and arbitrarily. The notion that he's self-victimising himself in this instance means that he's getting himself bullied - which is absurd, as not only is Eijaz not accountable for the actions of others, that thought process also absolves the others of those very actions.
This is my view - I realise that it differs from yours. I'm happy to disagree.
