Shuru mein they hyped him to the moon simple because they liked his look/acting in his serial and wanted to see him more. Then, he was nowhere to be seen. Then he agreed to wear a bikini top for a few days and many fans claimed he was winner material and whatnot. Again, he disappeared and neutral fans like me kept realizing how overhyped this guy is. He won the captaincy and came into the limelight, but BB took that away from him. There were a number of ways he could still use that to his advantage - he could protest it, or at least defend himself better, or even switch up his game in a major way but we didn't see any of it. Now, he's lost somewhere in limbo where he still defends Jaan and wants to help him and spends his time with Rubinav and Jas. He is seeming like na idhar ka na udhar ka.
All things considered - he is such a non-entity. He gets footage due to his friendship with Jaan but even in that he is coming across as so fake. His constant insistence on doing the 'right thing' is costing his friendship, as well as souring neutrals on him because of how fake he is coming across. He tried to create a mudda out of thin air when Eijaz said 'muft ka mila hai toh izzat karo' and he flopped miserably in arguing on an argument he himself started unnecessarily.
I don't want to tell other people how to enjoy the show and feel about contestants, but I wish his fans would realize that he is not the character he used to play, and he needs to give us all some solid reason to support him otherwise its just gonna look over hyped. I mean, he is still leading in the right-side panel on his very website and his AT is one of the most active ones on the forum. Why? I simply don't understand.
Its true that he does show sparks of potential every now and then but if somebody wants to explain the Nishant hype to me, please do! I am not saying his sarcastically or in a patronizing way at all, I am genuinely confused about why fans are supporting him the way they do. He has been such a disappointment to me in the game.
