Siddharth Shukla - A very toxic man

Hey peeps!

I am Sindhu and this is my first post on this Bigg Boss forum. Please don't bash me for my views. I strongly felt this and had to express and share with a group of readers and discuss it.

I am watching Bigg Boss Tamil and Bigg Boss Hindi which are running simultaneously on TV right now. There is too much toxicity in the behaviour of most of the men in the house. Each one is triggered very quickly and simply just wants to tarnish the other person's image. Humanity and Respect is just lost fighting for things.

Each one is losing their dignity and not maintaining any kind of class and decorum. For the lifestyle of these well established actors and actresses, I don't think this is the kind of behaviour one would expect.

Bigg Boss Tamil has also been running for 2 weeks now. It is really heartening and nice to see people bond, have issues, fight it and resolve it with a sorry as well. They are trying to maintain decorum. And especially the men in the house have so much respect for the women and vice versa. And neither do the men there find every tiny opportunity to pounce on another man and show their masculinity.

I personally find Bigg Boss Hindi too crass. Siddharth Shukla being the main reason for the toxicity. When there are three seniors, I do not understand why Sara was ousted when 2 of them did not agree to it. He tries to mansplain a lot of things. And he is the biggest Man-Child one has ever seen on TV. Too cranky and stubborn. It is also very cringey to see him overpower conversations by screaming. Hina explained it well, that others need to scream to match his level as well.

For the Jasmin-Nikki Task, Despite the majority vote for Jasmin, he tried to drag the matter and put his points in louder, staunch manner. But I am glad Gauhar and Hina stood their ground. Infact it shouldnt have even become such an issue as it was 2 against 1. Yet he stretched the matter long enough and started mansplaining things.

Also, during conversations with Gauhar and Hina, I feel like Siddharth tries to overpower their opinion.

Abhinav on the other hand, doesn't behave the way Siddharth or any other man in the team does. He has respect for the people while he speaks to them. Maintains his dignity and does not stoop low simply because the other person is. I like how level headed he is. I am not sure if that is the popular opinion though.

About the contestants in general, I feel Bigg Boss Hindi contestants are tooooo crass and disrespectful of one another. I really did not enjoy the part where they made fun of Abhinav and Rubina as a couple. You can't degrade a person or a couple you don't know. It felt too unnecessary. And I think they should really stop giving Gaalis. I think it is unnecessary and that is not the kind of behaviour one expects to see on TV.

I would love to hear your views :)

Cant agree more. I’m thinking about the same. It’s very disheartening to see what’s going on in the show. Plus the way they eliminated sara was so unfair.

From the start of this season I’m just hearing and understanding that these are the insights from the show - Be unfair, bias, be rude, be bad, if you are a mean and egoistic person you are not fake thats called true personality.. if you are genuinely nice and sensible you are fake, the one who is the meanest is the best, keep bitching you are going to be well liked and get more limelight, disrespect women for browny points, if you talk aaram se you are weak, if you talk loudly you are strong, keep fighting and you will win the show.

Well that's kind of true. BB is not the place for gentlemen type of guys and sati Savitri types of girls. Being mean, bitchy, creating controversies, fighting (which is called putting forward your point) even for things which can be resolved with peace etc etc is normal here.

But one needs to understand that it's all a TRP game at the end of the day. And TRP comes when these kind of personalities are locked in one house. They need drama , controversy, fights. Didn't Salman shout at everyone at WKW for accepting whatever rank they got? That's because BB expected them to fight and create drama! Weren't the initial episod s boring? Cause there were no fights! U need to understand that an ideal and respectful guy like Abhinav is not what BB needs, BB needs a Siddharth kinda guy to run. Yes, he has many qualities that u don't want in ur ideal man. But he creates drama , and that's BB's ideal

Ooof. This is so true! All your points. Where has mankind gone? Why are their so called actors and actresses acting like gali ke gundeys? And why this conniving nature. Probably be that way while doing a task, be smart. But why while doing daily chores, or even just living in the house. Doesn't the entire group of contestants need peace of mind to be locked up in one house for 3 months with 12-15 people?

I mean I get its a game. But don't lose your self respect. Don't lose your insaaniyat in the name of game. Being kind is not fake. Being humble and respectful is not a weakness. Infact that is what shows the strength of the person. A weak person cannot let go of their ego and support and praise another person.

The behaviour is really disappointing and I hope Abhinav, Rubina and Jasmin are able to keep their calm amidst these chaotic so called personalities.

Hey! Very well articulated, hope you post more :)

Obviously, toxicity thy name is Sid Shukla. That was my problem too - whatever be Rubina's meaning or intention, the guy clearly got way too triggered by those two words - "women power" simply because it implied that he was the man at the recieving end. That reaction itself showed what a manchild he is and just cannot take things in his stride. A man his age would let things go or even if he wants to disprove Ruby's point, would do it calmly or just simply say that it's not about woman power cos two women were pitted against each other just like Hina did. He obviously assumed that the "women power" comment was for him cos Gauhar and Hina got their way over him even after all the yelling and obviousli his "manly ego" couldn't take it. Oh his face damn 😆

And the couple comments and "Baabu" comment was so distasteful and disrespectful - you frigging have no idea about those two and dynamics of their relationship, what right to comment on them? Simply cos they are mature and stand together? They are legit married! How come they don't find Jaan's behaviour crappy who literally acts like Tamboli's doormat?

Thank you so much!

@bold - Indeed! Even if they commented on them individually as a person, I would have given it to them (coz of the very low standard that they have set. This is the least I could give them :/) But commenting on the relationship, as a couple, as a husband-wife was utterly distasteful. Very very unnecessary. Showed their class and level.

See if BB doesn’t need people like sara or abhinav who are more calm and sensible why to even approach them. Idea of the show is to make an opinion which you believe in and do the tasks well. But going’s by Shukla logic if you make an opinion please shout so that he can hear it, impress him by doing cheap stuff, i mean then please rate the show as 18+ and dont view it on television.

Also why he gets so much bhav! I find Gauhar the most sane senior and person in the house. She knows her boundaries and never crosses it and maintains her dignity.
