It comes from an inferiority complex. He knows hes hollow..which is why he gets defensive and cuts people off when they disagree. Sometmes its sad because nobody seems to have ever told him the truth or helped him develop himself. or maybe they tried and failed..I dont know. Sid is right when he told paras he is off about shefali saying she loved asim more than Sid. Paras forgot shefali used to be Sid girlfriend and shefali said love is always there when couples break up but that love changes in a different way. She was just using asim. She hates rashmi. With Sid she’s trying to stay longer in the game

Paras knows he was off too. He was just saying things he wants to be seen saying and things he thought Sid would not only like to hear but also would help Paras stay in the group with a big enough support.
