She was concerned how it would look to audiences. Many actors have a no lip to lip clause in their contracts. That is why she got conscious even though it was through glass. She didn’t say Sid was a pervert she said she thought he would bring his cheeks forward. Bas itna hi.

Indian audiences are sensitive about these things. Even now in Indian TV serials you won’t see any lip to lip scenes. So she said in that context.
