That's how courtrooms everywhere work.. when accused is on stand.. he/she has to answer all the questions asked to them. Defense lawyer can only object to questions if they are irrelevant or misleading. But they are not allowed to answer for their client.

Erm - it was a mock court. In any court worth it’s salt, the person standing in the witness stand answers the question when the question is posed to them. Their lawyer can object to a line of questioning and state the objection - but they do not answer the question. They’d be asked to shut the hell up and warned if they even tried.

So yeah - it is common sense to anyone who has any concept of how a trial actually works. And I’m pretty sure Shukla and Asim will have seen such scenes in films at least. Shukla’s rumoured akal clearly went for a toss when he stated that he’ll answer the question on his client’s behalf when his client was being questioned in the witness box.

Shukla was so irritating with his inputs for every word Rashmi was saying, his voice is grating on my nerves now 🤬

Asim ka vakeel reminded me so much of masoom bacchi ka vakeel in yesterday's episode 😆

If the lawyers are allowed to answer on behalf of the client, then the client is not required at all..the lawyers will fight among themselves...they will keep answering the other on their client's behalf😆..and lawyers even can go to jail on their client's behalf..

Kuch bhi?? Accused ka koi right hai ki nhi...he can choose not to answer. And in which universe lawyers are not allowed to answer for their client 🤪

Yeah then he can say he chooses not to answer - standing there being examined he does not say his lawyer will answer on his behalf. If that’s how it’s done in the Indian courts - that’s news to me.

And I can name multiple film court scenes - and Bollywood ones at that - where the accused is answering questions in the witness stand - and there is no pre-question asked regarding whether they choose to answer the question or not. So Rashmi’s common sense is not lacking from what I can see.

Besides, as far as I’m concerned - Asim consented to being questioned when he hopped up on that stand. And regardless, as a witness he cannot have his lawyer answering on his behalf. Rashmi mein sense ho na ho, Shukla and Asim were clearly lacking in it from where I was watching. My view - and happy to leave it here.

First of all Asim was not called as a witness in katghara , he stand there as an ACCUSED , accused stand in witnessbox only does not mean he gave deemed consent . And it's common sense that lawyer vll present case there is no need to say it

Sid said a very valid thing ab if you are supporting diff team n twist logics that's not my fault and yeah quote movie examples
