...it's never for the sake of fair play, but to bring out the characters of the sanchalak. That's Y the final decision is left on the sanchalak, even if they r biased or unfair.

Same with tasks. Tasks in BB r not so much for winning, but to bring out the latent nature of the housemates. The thing is without tasks, they will all play safe and be friendly with all. Tasks r designed to bring out one's true self.

Interestingly this season the onus of taking decisions in tasks have also been given to the HMs. Unlike in previous seasons, where BB wld ask what one HM had to ask as sacrifice from the other to be safe for nominations, here that decision has to be made by HMs themselves.

I agree re sanchalaks, but sanchalan by nature demands fairness - that is the purpose of it, and while the (mostly ridiculous) tasks BB sets makes complete fairness impossible, I think the test is to see how fair and sensible the sanchalak can be under the circumstances. Most fail horribly 😆, and then you have the likes of Kriti and Rosh who needed a dictionary definition lol.

Tasks, though, should be designed more to challenge the dynamics I feel, rather than characters - those will come out (or not) by default. They also, if it's a decent task, highlight performance, intelligence and capability levels. They should also be entertaining. Tasks in the past seasons (4-9 IMO) have been so - some fun and entertaining, others creative and well-designed to challenge the contestants. But of late, barring a couple, it's all this hair cutting and sacrifice and torture - the creativity just stops there. Where do people have to use their brains? Other than think about how to win without looking bad - but that's a staple anyway.

Tasks have been so disappointing since the last couple seasons, and there is so much interference and shaping of the narrative, nothing seems to happen organically anymore. And that is why the fights look forced and unnecessary cheekham chilli. I doubt the creativity is going to start flowing again anytime soon, but still hoping and watching this pretty unwatchable show 😆.

thanks for this late gyaan but when BB makes sanchalak its their duty to be fair since BB has vested trust in them. yes many cant be without bias completely but blatant unfairness makes them look bad and good they're out of the show.
