Part 11

After a few hours,the crowd of relatives had finally left their home.Armaan and bharti had sat down at the dining table to have dinner.Armaan's family members already had their dinner with the relatives.Omkar changed his clothes and joined Armaan and Bharti.Omkar looked around,wondering where Geeta was.

Armaan:Bhaiyya,kya hua?Kisse dhoondh rahe ho?

Omkar:Geeta ko..Bata nahin kaha gayab ho gayi hai..

Armaan:Arre bhabhi toh kitchen mein hai..Kheer lene gayi thi..

Just then,Geeta came with two small bowls of Kheer for Armaan and Bharti.She left the Kheer and went to get another bowl for Omkar but he stopped her,holding her wrist.

Okar:Kaha jaa rahi ho?

Geeta:Aapke liye Kheer..

Omkar:Iski koi zaroorat nahin hai..Tum yaha baitho aur khaana khaao..

Geeta:Nahin..main baad mein khaalungi..

Omkar:Aao,baitho na..

Geeta:Rasoi mein kuch kaam hai..Main baad mein khaalungi..

Armaan:Bhabhi,baithiye na..

Geeta:(looked at Omkar who let go of her wrsit)Ok..

Armaan:Great!!

Omkar:Kya baat hai..Devar ki baat toh itni jaldi maan gayi hai..

Armaan:Bhaiyya,jalan ho raha hai?Hhmm?

Omkar:Bohat zyaada...Kyunki tumhari bhabhi mere saath baith kar khaana nahin khaa thi..

Armaan:Sach,bhabhi?

Omkar:Aur radha bua toh hamesha isse itna kaam deti hai..Kabhi kabhi khaana hi nahin khaa thi..

Armaan:Bhabhi,aap bhi na...

Omkar:Waise Bharti,how do you like our home?

Bharti:Achi hai;actually mere bauji ke ghar jaise hain..Gwalior mein hum sab issi tarha ke ghar mein rehte hain..Haan woh alag baat hai ke yeh ghar bohat bada hai..

Omkar:Acha ek baat batao..Tum dono ki pehli mulaaqaat ke baarein mein kuch batao..

Armaan:Bhaiyya,itni jaldi bhi nahin..Pehle aap batao ki aapne Geeta bhabhi ko kaha pe dekhi thi pehli baar?

Omkar:Matlab?

Bharti:Haan...main bhi bohat uthaavli ho rahi hoon yeh jaanne ke liye..(smiled and raised her eyebrows at Geeta who glared at her in irritation)

Geeta:(whispered to Omkar)Main khaa chuki hoon..Bye!!

Omkar:Arre geeta..

Armaan:Kyun bhaiyya?Bhabhi sharmaa gayi na?

Omkar:(grinned sheepishly)Seriously asia kuch bhi nahin tha..Aur tum dono mera aur Geeta ka pehli mulaaqaat ke baarein mein kyun pooch rahe ho?Maine toh iss liye poocha tha kyunki tum dono ki toh prem ki daastaan hai..

Armaan:Aur Chutki hum dono ko already bataa diya hai ki aapke aur Geeta bhabhi ke bhi love story hai toh...Toh issi liye..

Omkar:Chutki ne?

Bharti:Chutki?

Armaan:Hum dono Avantika ko pyaar se Chutki bulaa the hain..

Bharti:Ohh..

Omkar:Iss Chutki ki main..

Aaaw Omkar is so sweet! So reminds me of Shivam from Godh Bhaarai..Loving his character..just wished that Geeta will open up to him more..Hmm Bharti is so naughty to have asked that question...😆

Armaan:Toh batao..

Omkar:Baad mein fursat se bataonga...Bohat dher ho gaya hai,so good night!!(washed his hands and went upstairs)

Bharti:Good night..

Armaan:Are you done,Bharti?(Bharti nodded)Ok,let's wash up..(both of them walked to the kitchen)

Bharti:Yeh kal bhi toh kar sakte hain na?

Armaan:Kya?

Bharti:Washing up?

Armaan:Seriously Bharti..Tum ghar par kuch karti nahin ho kya?

Bharti:Nahin..Even Payal bhi sab kuch subah hi karti hai..Washing up and all..

Armaan:Bas do plate hi toh hai..Ho gaya,chalo!!Arre ek minute..yeh glass reh gaya..I'll come in a minute!!

Bharti:Hhmm ok..Ouchh,mera gardann!!(twisted her neck a lil and stretched her arms,yawning)Oh God,i'm so sleepy..Ahh,my shoulders!!

Armaan:Can i be of any help?

Bharti:Are you done?

armaan:Yeahh...(carried Bhaarti in his arms)

Bhrti:arre armaan..what are you doing?Chodo mujhe..

Armaan:bharti,agar mein chodoonga toh tumhe zyaada dard mehsoos hogi..Iss liye,chup..Bilkul chup!!

Bharti looekd intently into Armaan's eyes and smiled.As she saw Armaan looking at her,she stopped smiling and gazed into his eyes,not being aware of the fact that both of them had already reached outside their room.Armaan slowly let her stand upright and took the red box from her hand.He took out the ring and gazed into her eyes.Bharti saw him taking a step closer to her and Bharti gently took a step behind.Her eyes were fized on Armaan's eyes while she turned the knob of the door in the counter-clockwise direction.Armaan held Bharti's hand but she turned away from him.Bharti walked towards the dressing room while Armaan locked the room and went towards Bharti and held her wirst.He raised her wrist upwards to his face and he progressively placed the ring on her ring finger.He smiled as he saw Bharti's eyes glittering with happiness.He pulled her closer towards him and studied her glowing face.Bharti closed her eyes and unwantedly let out a yawn,amusing Armaan.

Bharti:Oops,i'm so sorry..(saw armaan giggling)What?Didn't you see any girl yawning before?

Armaan:(yawned)It's been a tiring day,isn't it?

Bharti:Don't even mention it,Armaan..I had to seek the blessings form all the relatives,remember?

Armaan:Hhmm and i didn't have to,yeah??

Bharti:Dude,i'm very tired..

Armaan:Me too..I'll go and get changed..

Bharti:Yeah,me too..Good night in advance..(armaan shook his head and went to the washroom to get changed)

~Omi's room~

Geeta got changed into her night clothes.

Omkar:Geeta..

Geeta:Haan..

Omkar:Apna haath dikhaao..

Geeta:Kyun?

Omkar:Bas dikhaao..Tum kabhi bhi apni dhyaan nahin rakkthi..Tumhare haath dekho..(placed some ointment on Geeta's hand which had become a bit swollen after getting scalded by the hot drink she had prepared for the guests)

Geeta:Ahhh,it's ok..I'm fine!!

Omkar:what do you mean you're fine??Haath toh dekho..

Geeta:Thanks..

Omkar:Waise you can just call me Omkar or Om..(Geeta smiled weakly)If you don;t mind me asking,tum yeh sab kyun kar rahi ho?Tum toh yaha ki kuch dino ki mehmaan ho..Yeh sab karoge toh..

Geeta:Toh kya hua?Jab tak main yahaan hoon,tab tak yeh sab kuch karti rahungi..Bohat raat ho chuki hain aur aapko kal jaldi uthna hain na..Good night!!

Omkar:Hhmm,good night!!

Omkar felt quite that at least Geeta doesn't mind him placing the ointment on her hand.As she laid on the sofa to sleep,he felt that he didn't need the cozy bed.He switched off the lights and took his blanket,spreading it on the floor and slept on it,at the end further from Geeta.

Meanwhile Bharti had just gotten out of the washroom after getting changed into her night clothes.She saw Armaan browsing through a magazine.She thought of not disturbing him and dropped herself on the bed.Just as she did so,she heard some cracked sounds.Bharti wondered what the sound was, and she got up from the bed.She sat on the bed and heard the same sound again.This time round,Armaan heard the sound too.Both Armaan and Bharti glanced at each other and stood up simultaneously.

Armaan:Woh kya tha?

Bharti:Mujhe kya bata...Mere pants..Nope!!Bed ke neeche kuch hai kya?(both of them promptly bent down and checked under the bed)

Armaan:Kuch bhi toh nahin hai..(Just then,Armaan spotted some beige coloured stuff inside themattress)ek second...(took off the mattress)Pappad?

Bharti:What??Uffo,ab yeh kya hai?

Armaan:Ok Bharti relax..

Bharti:Armaan,mujhe bohat neend aa rahi hain aur..Aur yeh kiski harkat hai?

Armaan:Zaroor Chutki ki hogi..Ek minute,i'll get all of it out..(Bharti just sat on the sofa while armaan got all the pappad out and spread the mattress evenly and neatly)

As he spread the mattress neatly and turned to look at Bharti,he just smiled.He went closer to see Bharti having already slept on the sofa,with the magazine he was reading,on her chest.He kept the magazine aside and carried Bharti,laying her on the bed gently while pulling up the blanket to cover her.He started to yawn too and he smiled at Bharti before switching off the lights to sleep.
