Sohana...dear...where r u???

Hey everyone. so so sorry that i haven't updated in so long. will try very hard to do it tonight(early morning in india) Actually was learning for my learners license and I was really busy, but I won't bore you with the details...So sorry again, have wanted to update for so long, but never got the chance🤔...soon!

Gyaan:(nudging Armaan and winking) "Girlfriend's call?"

Armaan: "Um Gyaan..I'm married..Excuse me"

Gyaan: "Oh yeah..Bharti..I tend to forget.."

Armaan: "Hi Bharti, how are you?"

Bharti: "Armaan! I'm..I don't know. Look, please come home quickly, there are some people here who are claiming to be your parents and your sister Tamanna!"

Armaan:"What!? Okay I'll be right there."

After Armaan hung up he was really confused. He was sure that his family were supposed to only arrive in Mumbai next week, that is why he put off telling Bharti about them, he thought he would have more time. And then it hit him, he hadn't told his parents that he got remarried. He was sure that they would know by now since Bharti was in his house. He hurried home worried about how his parents would react and what they would say to Bharti.

Bharti just sat down and threw her phone across the bed. She put her head in her hands.

Bharti: "Come on KK! I can handle anything, I have shown you that! I've handled all that you've thrown my way, but a 'saas'!? Why KK why?"

There was a soft knock on the door and slowly it opened. It was Armaan's sister, Tamanna. Bharti got up and straightened herself up.

Bharti: "Oh hi, um sorry about that. I've called Armaan, he'll be home soon..."

Tamanna: "Oh okay good. Um, are you okay?"

Bharti: "Me, I'm..well honestly I was not expecting to meet Armaan's family. He has never mentioned any of you before..."

Tamanna: "Yeah, well you see, Armaan doesn't see eye to eye with our parents and I never get to see him because of where we live, but we do speak occasionally. I apologize about my mother, she didn't know about you and that Armaan married you. He told me a little, but I think he was putting off telling our parents, especially my mother...She still thinks that everything will go back to how it was with.."

Mother: "Excuse me, but do you not have water in your house?"

Bharti: "Oh I'm sorry, It's in the fridge in the kitchen."

Mother: "Do you have any manners!?"

Tamanna: "Ma! I'll get it for you, go wait in the lounge. Armaan will be home soon."

Mother: "He better be!"

And with that she stormed off. Bharti looked confused from the door to Tamanna. Tamanna excused herself to go get something to drink for her parents. Bharti just sat back down on the bed and laid back. Just then her phone started to ring, she looked around for it and finally found it on the carpet next to the bed.

Bharti: "Payal! What timing yaar!"

Payal: "Well hello to you too. What's up dude? You didn't call last night, busy with Armaan, huh huh?"

Bharti: "Oh, I...forgot, will tell you about that later..I think I am going to seriously run away now!"

Payal: "Run away, why?"

Bharti: " What do I tell you...Guess who just arrived at my house?"

Payal: "Shahid Kapoor!? At your house? Oh wow!"

Bharti: "Oi hello, where did Shahid come from, and by the way, why would I run away if it was him? "

Payal: "Oh sorry, was just thinking about him actually, you see Rishi and I went to watch 'Chance pe Dance'...He looked so good..well they both did. Oh sorry Bhaskar, but dude, wouldn't you run away if it was a guy?!"

Bharti: "Okay, I didn't follow anything you just said...Armaan's family is here..sister, father and mother..Payal, my saas looks like the serial type 'saas'...What do I do yaar!?"

Payal: "Hahaha, you being serious?"

Bharti: "Payal!"

Payal: "Okay chill dude. Is she going to be there permanently? "

Bharti: "No idea, she just showed up and she didn't know that I'm Armaan's wife.."

Payal: "Woah, so Armaan didn't tell her, well at least you know Armaan is not a momma's boy, so I'm sure things will be fine. Just go with the flow."

Bharti: "Go with the flow...easier said then done, what if she expects me to be this 'perfect sari-clad, domesticated bahu', then what?"

Payal: "Well, she's going to be very disappointed, lol, jokes apart, Armaan doesn't expect all this from you, so she won't. It'll be fine, especially if she's not staying with you'll."

Bharti: "Yeah okay, I'm just waiting for this Armaan to get here, he too seemed surprised. By the way, you are going to movies and stuff with this Rishi guy, huh? Date and all..."

Payal: "Shut up Bhaskar, it was just for fun."

Bharti: "Acha...Payal's got a boyfriend.."

Payal: "Aaargh Bhaskar, I'm going to hang up now"

Bharti: "Okay wait, sorry, I was just joking. I know you'd never have a boyfriend, you never had one in all these years that I knew you, so I doubt you'd get one after just a few weeks in London."

Payal: "You know Bhaskar, you can be a real jerk sometimes...Look I have to go. Speak to you later. Bye"

Bharti: ""Bye-bye"

Bharti sighed and laid back on the bed. Meanwhile Armaan just arrived to see his father reading the paper, Tamanna in the kitchen and his mother fanning herself frantically and looking around the house with disapproving eyes. As he stood at the door, his mother lay eyes on him. She immediately went to him and squeezed him into a big hug.

Armaan: "Ma! I..can't..breathe!"

She let go of him and starting pulling his ears.

Mother: "Serves you right, I should do much more to you! You remarried and didn't even tell me! "

Armaan: "Ma.."

Mother: "And who is this girl, I have never heard of her before, you know this is not right!"

Armaan: (getting slightly angry)"Okay listen.."

Mother: "And I don't like her, she is so rude, do you know she didn't let us in and now is in her room. She is not coming out and my poor Tamanna has to work."

Armaan: (looking towards Bharti's room)"Bharti.."

Tamanna: "Ma, stop being melodramatic, I'm not working, I'm pouring water and you scared Bharti, I'm not surprised she isn't coming out here, she's probably confused. "

Mother: "Oh you know her so well now?!"

Armaan: "Ma, just sit down, relax, I'll be right back"

Armaan greeted his father, gave Tamanna a quick hug and went to the room to see Bharti. He opened the door to see her sitting on the bed with her head on her hands. Armaan went in and gently closed the door. He went and sat down next to her.

Armaan: "Bharti..you okay?"

Bharti: (looking up at him suddenly)"Armaan, who are those people? They were saying that they're your family. I believe your sister, but I swear you don't seem related to your mother in any way, no offence"

Armaan: (giving a slight laugh)"Yeah, I know, she takes some getting used to. Look I'm so sorry I didn't tell you that they were coming, in fact I had no clue myself. They were supposed to arrive next week."

Bharti:"Oh, it's okay. They just surprised me...Um are they going to be staying with us?"

Armaan: "Actually, yes and no. Bharti, don't look so scared. You see Tamanna recently bought a house here in Mumbai and the renovations are going on. So she wants to be here to oversee some things and her husband is away for business at the moment. My parents just came to get her settled, they won't stay."

Bharti: "Oh okay..Armaan, you didn't tell your family that we got married and you never mentioned them before..."

Armaan: "Oh you know everything was always hectic with us and the wedding was rushed, so I didn't get a chance."

Bharti: "Tamanna knew"

Armaan: "Yeah, I told her. The thing is I'm not very close with my parents, my mother expects things that are impossible in my eyes. And I didn't want any unwanted commotion with her coming. Believe me, things wouldn't have gone smoothly."

Bharti:"Oh I see, well I don't think she likes me very much."

Armaan: (laughing) "Oh don't worry, I'm sure you'll grow on her, you do take some getting used to. There, at least you smiled, come on lets go out, they won't bite..I don't think."

Bharti and Armaan went outside. Armaan explained to them how it was all rushed and he didn't get a chance to tell them. Armaan's mother just looked Bharti up and down. Bharti excused herself to go and fetch Jiya from school. She told Armaan that she'll phone MU to say that neither of them will be in for the rest of the day. After Bharti left, Armaan's mother just shook her head.

Armaan: "What Ma?"

Mother: "You trust her with Jiya, how can you just let anyone be near my granddaughter!?"

Armaan: "Ma, Bharti is my wife, whether you like it or not, it is just something you have to accept! And she adores Jiya."

Mother: "You're going to speak to me like this because of that girl? You know this is wrong. She is not your wife and she can't be Jiya's mother. I'll never accept her. Priyanka is your only wife and Jiya's mother!"
