Guys, this is important :)
I spoke to a Ms. Kaur from the Production House. Frankly speaking, she wasn't very helpful. As I had expected, she told me that she cannot disclose much except for the fact that it's the channel's call. Well, I had asked her that and she replied yes, it's Sony's call. I explained to her that there is a petition and IF wants to save the show. She told me that I should speak to a lady called Sholar from the channel.
So I asked the reception at Sony to transfer my call to Ms. Sholar, and they did. I told her abt my talks with Ms. Kaur and that there is a fan following for the show. I told her abt the fangroup on FB as well. She told me that to end a show is a joint decision by the channel and Production House. I questioned her abt the reason saying trps are the only real reason to end the show. So why did they give Prime Time slot to Sukh by Chance?
She counter argued that even before the time change, trps were not good. To that I responded that the trps were fine when the original BB was being followed. I told her the writers tampered with the show. To be frank, she didn't really have an answer to that and said that if we discuss those things then it becomes too much. I asked her if they have received any feedback abt the cancellation of the show and she said that they haven't received much! And that the channel has never received protest before. She told me that if I want to, I should email her directly and she will pass it on.
Guys, she gave me her email and I told her that I will speak to members of India-Forums and we will send our petitions and complaints.
Peeps, we DON'T have time and even the lady accepted this and I think she indicated for us to hurry up. There is no point us sending feedback to the Sony site. They don't seem to read it. So the petition should be sent to the link below. But I think individually members should also email. My HUMBLE request is to please keep it to the point and try to give clear reasons. I know we are all angry but we have to give it our best shot. Please guys, I know you won't but I still request you to not say anything which may sound rude or insulting. And please, please state why the show should not end. She will then pass on all complaints to the seniors.
As a parting note, I told the lady that I hope she does not think that I am a crazy fan! I told her that the fans have really connected with the show and when you connect with something, it becomes a part of your life 😳 So friends, we gotta do this. And we gotta prove that a show can be saved. I asked abt our chances, to which she said that we can try. So let's prove it and be the first to save a show from the clutches of cancellation!
Side note: The lady at the production house was so iffy when I spoke to her. Dunno if it was my British accent or the fact that I speak fast! But either way, she was a bit odd. I was thinking, lady, I'm asking abt Bhaskar Bharti...not your life savings! And the wild woman within me was sooooo tempted to ask for Aamir Ali's number 😈 but I am a true professional....so I stuck to business 🤓
One more thing, if you send individual emails, please add your name at the end. And just a quick reminder....please make sure to write it with clarity...we need to prove a point. This is not a IF member speaking, this is your friend 😳
