Chapter 15~ The Battle Begins
Dawn after Amavasya
The Border between Aravalli Forest and Udaipur
Pratap and Ajabde had set up their tents on the open ground between the Forest and the city of Udaipur.
Pratap(pointing at the model of Udaipur Fort):
We will surround the Fort on all the sides.There are six entrances to the Fort. Chundawatji will attack the Northern one, Shakti and Heer will March towards the Eastern one, Ajabde and I will attack the Western one which is also the largest gate, Rana Punja will go to the South Eastern gate which has a direct access to the Palace. Jaimalji will march to the North Western gate while Patta will attack on the back gate.

Ajabde: Ranaji, we all know that we cannot kill Maldev. We can make him extremely weak but cannot wipe him off. What shall we should about it?
Pratap: We will see to it when the need arises. For now let's focus on getting back the Palace and wiping out the morgues.
Inside the Udaipur Palace
Maldev was performing a tantric yajna to please the Devil and acquire special dark powers for the war.
Maldev(after completing the yajna) : O Mighty Devil! Give me powers to defeat my enemy! My morgues are weak and powerless and we are trapped in the shield. Help your servant My Lord!
A dark aura appeared from the hellish fire which turned black.
Devil Aura: I extend my powers to you Maldev. You can create a hole in the shield at one of the entrances and I grant your soldiers to be powerful but for only one day. At the next sunrise they will lose their power.
Beware my son! You are taking powers beyond your limit. Over powers can make a person corrupt and it leads to weakness. Your body may not be able to handle them. Also keep in mind that IF you die, I and my powers will be gone forever from this Earth and darkness will be erased once and for all.
Khetu and Tara came to know about this yajna and Maldev's special powers so they ran to inform Ajabde.
Multan came there suddenly and killed Tara from behind but Khetu successfully escaped from there.
Ajabde was standing near the entrance with Pratap and Phool. Khetu was running towards her from the Palace Entrance when she was struck with a dagger. Someone had attacked from behind.Her steps started shaking. Ajabde got off from her horse and ran towards her. Khetu fell down in Ajabde's lap as she was kneeling.
Khetu: Maha...Ranisa... I ful...filled my pr...omise. We...kil..led all...the in..ner Pal..ace Guards. Mal...dev has...acquir..ed dark po...wers. Mor...guess hav..e po..wer till tomo...rrow. Kill him...tomorrow aft...er sun..rise. The...re is ...a hol..e in the ...shield. Be...ware. Jai Eklin...gji!
Ajabde: Jai Eklingji!
She breathed her last. Ajabde closed her eyes. Not a fear fell from her eyes. She was proud of Khetu and tears would ruin her sacrifice.
After cremating her with all rituals, Ajabde moved with returned to the Palace entrance with a renewed determination.
Maldev got the news of the siege.
He went to North Western entrance where Jaimal was standing. He chose to create a hole there as it was strategically beneficial. There was a cliff near it so the soldiers could be easily pushed down. Besides there was a volcanic mountain some miles away. If it errupted then it would cause so much of damage. Also, Maldev wanted his Western side to be strong as sun appeared the last in West.
Face Off Part 1--
Jaimal and MSJ v/s Multan
Maldev thought that Multan was the wisest of all his men so he sent him to tear open the shield on the Western entrance. He gave him a sword with black magic powers infused in it so that he destroy that part of shield.
Jaimal got to know about the invasion there so he prepared himself and his men.
On hearing this MSJ also joined his father with his Bundi Army.
The Western gates opened and Multan could be seen standing near the shield with the sword in his hand and a large battalion of morgues behind him.
He got off from his horse and approached the shield. He took a deep breath and with confidence struck it with full force.
SLAAASHH!!!!
Thunders and lightning struck the sky which had become overcast with dark clouds. Sun rays were hidden and a dust storm rose.
Ajabde felt a big jerk inside her.
"The shield"...she mumbled," Its broken!"
Multan shouted:
ATTAACKK!!!
The cries of Jai Eklingji and Jai Mewar echoed powerfully as the Mewaris and Bundi soldiers met the morgues.
But they were losing a lot of soldiers rapidly as the morgues had been given power and secondly the Mewaris soldiers killed by them were turning into morgues and increasing the army.
Jaimal knew that if Multan succeeded in winning this region,he could conquer other parts also which could create problems for Pratap.
So he decided that at any cost he wouldn't let them win.
He was thinking about a new strategy when he saw a volcano ready to errupt and a small valley beneath it. Eureka!!! He got the trick of victory.
He instructed MSJ to use all his power and strength to push the morgues in the ravine as the volcano was about to errupt.
MSJ instructed all the soldiers to start cornering the morgues towards the ravine.
He himself joined this task.
Jaimal also used all his strength in not killing but just pushing them backwards.
He could see the success of the plan when he noticed that the volcano had a huge rock at its mouth due to which it was not exploding. It would take a lot of time for it to explode this way. Besides just pushing them into the valley won't kill the morgues.
He wanted the plan to succeed at any cost. So he immediately decided to himself remove the rock from the mountain. He very well knew that he was going to lose his life in this task. But he was satisfied that he was able to serve his Matrubhoomi.
Jaimal signalled his son to continue and galloped towards the volcano
He reached its base and started climbing it with agile moves. Soon he reached the top of the mountain. He analysed the situation below. MSJ had done a great job in pushing everyone in the valley. The plan was in place.
He took a deep breath and shouted Jai Eklingji! Jai Mewar! Jai Matrubhoomi!
With all his strength he pushed the huge rock. It took him sometime to move it. But after a few minutes, a huge explosion was heard. Pratap , Ajabde, Chundawatji-- everyone was startled hearing it.
"Daata!!" Cried MSJ. He didn't knew that he had just seen his father for the last time. Multaan was beyond shock and he stood frozen seeing the calamity.
MSJ had instructed his soldiers had moved away from the site. Hot lava came burning down into the valley. The battalion got evaporated in seconds. The heat of molten lava melted everything. The morgues were gone.
Dark, hot smoke emerged from the volcanic opening which hampered vision in the valley.
Multan decided that he would take revenge for this. He saw MSJ standing near the valley's cliff and decided to push him.
He ran towards him in full force while MSJ was standing there,unaware of him and was shocked due to his father's death.
Multan came out of no where and pushed him. MSJ couldn't stand the push and fell down. He caught the edge at the end moment. So he was left hanging with hot lava underneath him.
Multaan: I am here to send you to your father MS!
MSJ was recalling his father's words: Fear meant defeat and one had to save one's life to kill the enemy.
MSJ used every ounce of his energy and caught Multan's legs. He pulled him into the valley without giving him a chance to think.
Then slowly, he came up.
Multan was gone and thus Jaimal had succeeded in winning the first round of the battle.
