I think this all is done to "undo" Pratap's good image in eyes of his father, or else, i do not know why this track has been brought forward.?. But for that still a lot of time is left.. Many things are to be shown till then...

yes thats what I think too, that this incident will the starting of the rift between father and son! thats the only reason for the track in my opinion!

The present track is for creating a rift only, i feel. Wondering, how much long will this show run as they stretch the story to a GREAT extent. Quite slow..
