Part-4
Next day in the afternoon, Hansa bai was walking in the beautiful gardens of Bijolia, admiring the beautiful flowers and the fresh air. After a while, when she is heading back to the palace gates, she sees something, rather someone, and she just can't believe her eyes. "Jaivantha!!! Ranaji!!! Yahan Bijolia me!!!" and she quickly runs to receive her guests. On reaching the main gates, where Maharani Jaivantha bai and Rana Udai Singh had just arrived, Hansa bai exclaimed with joy, "Gari Khamma!"
"Khamma gadi Hansa bai ji." says Rana Udai Singh. Hansa bai, bursting with excitement and happiness, says inquisitively, "Aap log yahan, Bijolia mein, kaise? Sandesha to bhijwa dete."
"Bas ab Hansa bai ji, yeh aapki sakhi hain na, inhe apne putr ki inti chinta ho rahi thi, ki hame inhe yahan laana hi pada. Sandesha bhijwane ka khayal to aaya hi nahi, bas hum chal pade."
On hearing this, Hansa bai's grin drowns into deep seriousness and guilt.
"Kya hua Hansa, aapke chehre par chinta ki lakeeren kaisi? Sab theek to hai na?" asks a concerned Jaivantha bai.
"Vo...ermmm...aap andar aaiye na, saari baaten mukhya dwar par khade hokar thodi na karni hain...aaiye." And Hansa bai leads the couple inside the palace of Bijolia. They head to the raj darbar where Rao Mamrakh was already present. After wishing and welcoming and the settling of everyone, the question of Pratap's health is brought up by Jaivantha bai. After plucking up a lot of courage, Rao Mamrakh answers her question, but doesn't dare look at their faces, "Vo...Chakrapani aur Saubhagyawati ke vivah samaroh me Surtan Singh ne sab par jhoomar girane ka prayas kiya. Uska peecha karte-karte Kunwar Pratap jungle ke paar wali gufa me pahunch gaye jahan unhe...ek saamp kaat gaya aur kisi ne unhe peeche se khanjar bhi maar diya..." Rana Udai Singh and Maharani Jaiwantha bai were left dumbstruck by shock. "Hey Ekling ji..."muttered Jaiwantha bai, her eyes filled with fear and shock. Before any other questions came his way, Rao Mamrakh quickly replied, "Parantu chinta ki koi baat nahi hai ab. Ab Kunwar Pratap khatre se bilkul bahar hain." "Eklingji ka koti-koti dhanyawad." breathed Jaiwantha bai with relief. By then, Ajabdeh and Phoolkanwar had also arrived. Hansa bai sees them coming and announces their arrival. "Arre dekhiye, dono rajkumariyan bhi aa gayi!" Ajabdeh and Phoolkanwar walk forward and join the meeting. Rao Mamrakh introduces Phool, "Yeh hain hamari putri samaan, Marwar ki atisundar rajkumari, Phoolkanwar." Phoolkanwar joins her hands and says gari khamma to Ranaji and Maharani ji. They also say khamma gari to her. "Marwar ki rajkumari..."utters Rana Udai Singh in a suspicious tone with a hint of dislike. Rao Mamrakh senses that and quickly responds, "Rana ji, inse ghrina(hatred) mat kijiye, inhi ki vajah se to Kunwar Pratap aaj surakshit hain."
"Nahi, nahi Raoji. Hamne kya kiya, jo kuch bhi kiya, Ajab..." but Phool is cut off in the middle by Rao Mamrakh even before she could utter Ajabdeh's full name. Rao Mamrakh says with disappointment, "Phool bai sa, kyu aap apne saare shram ka shrey..." his voice suddenly taking a serious and full-of-hatred tone, "... apni is gunheen sakhi ko de rahi hain? Yahan sab ye satya jaante hain ki Kunwar Pratap ke pranon ki raksha aapne ki." Hansa bai feels very, very disappointed at Rao Mamrakh's comment. She knew the truth. But she did not dare speak in front of Ranaji and Raoji.
"Phir to ham aapke aabhari hue..." says Jaiwantha bai, folding her hands.
"Sirf ham hi nahi, poora Mewar aapke aabhari hua. Kunwar Pratap ki jaan bachane ke liye aapka bahut bahut dhanyawaad." completes Rana Udai Singh.
"Aap log Kunwar Pratap se mil lijiye, ham tab tak mantrana kaksh me kuch suchnaen sunkar aate hain. Hansa bai ji aapko Kunwar Pratap ka kaksh dikha dengi. Aur aap dono apne kaksh me chale jaiye." says Rao Mamrakh.
"Aaiye..." and Hansa bai leads Rana Udai Singh and Maharani Jaivantha bai out of the room, looking very disappointed, while the girls head to their room.
As soon as the girls reach their room, Phoolkanwar orders, "Popli, hamara shringar karo." And she then exclaims with disappointment, "Aise bina bataye bhala kaun aata hai. Mewar ke Rana aur Maharani sa ke samne hame, yani Marwar ki rajkumari ko aise hi jaana pada. Arre, pehle sandesha hi bhijva dete, ham samay rehte tayar to ho jate!" And Phool gets busy in dress up while Ajabdeh goes and silently sits on the bed. She hadn't even been introduced to the guests. But there was no point thinking about such a small matter. They had come to meet their son, not her. Then she just hoped in her head and heart that Kunwar Pratap just somehow got well and woke up. It was a long time since he was in that state of unconsciousness, and moreover, her father may have to face insult. While Phool went on chatting, Ajabdeh was lost in her own world...
Back in Pratap's room, Chakrapani, Vyenidas and Bheem were sitting on Pratap's bedside. As soon as Jaivantha bai entered the room and saw her son in the unconscious state, she uttered "Pratap...!!!" And ran towards her son. She quickly sat besides him and rested her son's head on her chest, "Pratap...yeh kya ho gaya hai aapko? Kuch dino ke liye aapko apne se door nahi kiya, aur kya haal bana liya aapne apna!" She affectionately ran her hand through her son's hair and kissed his forehead and hugged him tightly, as if she didn't want to let him go away from her now.
There it was, the missing element to Pratap's recovery. Mother's love did the magic. As Jaivantha bai mourned and cared for her son in that state, a feeble voice was heard. It said, "R..ani maa..." Everyone was surprised. It took everyone a little time to digest what they had just heard. Everyone looked at Pratap. Very slowly, Pratap was opening his eyes. Smiles depicting ultimate happiness prevailed over all the faces in the room. Celebration could be announced at any moment, everyone was so happy. Ranaji and Maharani ji, their eyes were twinkling. Jaivantha bai was on the verge of tears. Pratap slowly with a lot of effort, sat up against the pillows.
There it is guys...part4...i hope i've stood up to ur hopes...i guess Shrushti wanted to see Pratap come back to life...so i hope this did it :D...if anyone had any predictions of the vishesh event that Ajabdeh thought would take place, please write it in the comments...i would love to hear your point of views. Next two parts are big treats...so... a little waiting for them...
