LOL! I always say that while watching the show! 😆 She behaves as if she already knows it is a boy! What if it is a girl? Then what will she do? Kill it? 🤢 Or resort to self flagellation in frustration? 😡

It's also amazing how she doesn't give a damn about Sajjabai's sons! They are obviously older than her child-to-be. How does she think they won't matter and won't be taken into consideration while deciding the Yuvraj of Mewar?

Merely on basis of her charms she thinks she can convince Rana ji to make important decisions regarding the kingdom! Overconfident of her lustful charms and Rana ji falling weak in front of her!

exactly... what is its a girl? Can anything to be done to make the baby a boy? I don't understand her... just coz rana only has boys, doesn't mean she is going to have a boy also... She is foolish to think she is only going to have a boy and not a girl.

Dheer bai will definitely give birth to a boy - Jagmal (or, at least, that is what I have read). If her child was a girl, she could get pregnant again. As it is, girls were married off at very young age, so...😳

This thought of "if it's a girl?" comes to our mind because we live in the 21st century...

That is how society used to function in those days...

In our scriptures, the two most prominent female characters have taken birth due to "divine intervention" - Sita (being Lakshmi's incarnation, and appearing from the earth), and Draupadi (divine birth from yagya-kunda). And even then, girls (born in those times, be it Sita or Draupadi, or whoever it may be) were basically the maharanis and patranis of their "sasural" kingdoms - whenever their husbands became kings.

I don't think daughters in those days could actually become queens of their "maayka" kingdom.
