Rucha finally quits Bhabhi

The actress asked for a hike to play an aged character but producers refused

Rucha Gujarathi, who plays Suhana in Bhabhi, has quit the UTV show. She informed the producers that she had no intention of returning after they decided to bump her off for sometime.
In the serial, her character Suhana is supposedly killed, only to be brought back at a later date. Now on, the story will revolve around Dev (Vishal Singh) and new entrant Gitanjali Sabharwal (Gurdeep Kohli).
The reasons
Rucha says she has left the show for two reasons. One, she wasn't getting a pay hike and the other because she was asked to play mother to a 16-year-old girl.
A friend of Rucha says, "She would have preferred a short break as she has been doing the show for the past two years. She just wanted a hike, which is fair enough considering that she was asked to play mother to a teenager. She tried her best to convince the producers but they didn't want to listen. She was not bothered about Gurdeep's entry as reported in certain sections of the media. She knows Gurdeep at a personal level."
'A kid myself'
Rucha says, "I myself look like a kid. How can I play mother to a 16-year-old? Above all, they didn't agree to my fee hike, so I decided to quit."
On Gurdeep's entry she says, "Gurdeep and I have worked together and get along well. If they wanted me to age, they should have paid me more. That's why I made it clear I have no intention of returning. I'm done with Bhabhi and ready for something else. I would prefer youthful shows instead of saas-bahu sagas," Rucha says.
