What struck is that, in Mahabharat, Krishna preach a lot about good and bad, dharma and all, I remember he said something that it's subjective, how we perceive it, but morality is what binds dharma. In the final war, Krishna advocates the use of treachery to end the wrong.

If we refer to whole outline of beyhadh, not segments or seasons, the whole. It is a story of survival. Maya had resort to bad, (just like Krishna with treachery) to kill Ashwin, which symbolise bad. The end of Ashwin, gave rise to a Maya who was willing to please his in laws but then again, dharma didnt win. Vandy, who as you said is a representative of society came again to wreck her.

Just like when Drapaudi was disrobed, they did under the name of dharma, that's why the Pandavs coudnt do anything. Vandy, Saanjh, Arjun are just like that, with masks, they preach good, but do bad under the name of dharma, which is where the story is going towards. Arjun bribing and killing, Jhanvi bribing and killing etc..

This isn't the story of Maya, but it is the story of Maya the child, and in this process loads of people had to die, just like Pandav kids all died, so that dharma sees the light again. Maya the child has to get justice.

I tried to view the story in a very different angle. Sounds scary

Why do u think that Maya's path is Dharma?

Sorry to bump in out of nowhere, I have been a silent reader on this forum 😛

Duffer and dusky are more annoying as husband and wife than when they said to be friends.

After 5 years Maya might have changed says Saanjh. Maya is that woman who will never change tells Arjun. And we are shown Maya. Has she changed. Yes she has. One of the key difference between Maya of all the previous seasons Maya doesnt look frightening, Maya doesnt look vulnerable, she is something else whose eyes dont betray even the slightest of emotion. It doesnt give away what she is thinking even to the sligtest. She talks with a dispassionate voice that neither has arrogance, authority, threat, love or even hatred for that matter.

But the most important change about her is that she is neither Maya Arjun Sharma nor Maya Mehrotra. She is simply Maya. Whose words and actions no longer matches. She tells dialogues and others make their perceptions. They are adha adhura dialogues. I would say in real sense it is now she is creating Maya or illusion which people dont understand.

The lady warden says I cannot believe the file as your story and Maya calmly tells it is my story. Warden says you are an example of how a criminal can change. I realized the way in which I walked I ended up alone, so if I get another oppourtunity I want to chose a different path. She doesnt talk about I chose wrong path and now I need right path. It is just that the path she walked she ended up alone, she wants a different path. She allows the wardern to make perception.

Perception is always created by the way you experience the person. The way warden has seen Maya for 5 years as a woman who had not created any trouble, who had not tried to jump jail, who had worked in jail, who had helped others she feels the other Maya is untrue.

Vandana had seen Maya's breaking glass, her authority, her arrogance and for her a helping Maya cannot exist. So what is Maya in real sense. Maya is somewhere in between. On one extreme she can help and other extreme she can destroy. Both are her faces. You understand Maya only when you understand both this faces and how these faces are submerged in the same individual. Samay says to Maya, Maya only that person can love you, who understand your poison, who can take your poison too. That's so true about this woman.

So has she changed or not changed. It is both, her way of approaching her goal has changed, but the goal as such as not changed. Her need to live itself is for revenge. So both Duffer and Dusky are correct in their own way.

Now has duffer changed. Yes he too has changed. Changed a lot. He wants a family now, while earlier he wanted to fly high. But then the money was needed for the golden cage he had to create to protect the family. So with money he created golden cage. Maya's prayer Maa Mahalakshmi never leave Arjun's hand. So even while Arjun wants a small home, his past ensures he has a luxury home with body guards and digital password lock. The same curse of child Maya's life, Maa Mahalakshmi or money that came to her at a age she didnt know, for which she was tortured and caged, for which the dark cage was created for her and then she created the cages for others.

And Arohi hears Maya and wants to know who is Maya and Arjun wants to suspend the reporter. Once again I was reminded of Maya's firing the reporter for talking to Arjun. It was for that right that lady was dismissed and I guess there was one another similar incident also.

Arjun loses himself if he hears the name Maya Mehrotra. And funny enough why isnt Arjun calling Saanjh his wife, he said she is his strength, his courage, his friend and some other things but didnt tell my wife. I found it very odd and out of place. Because when asked about Saanjh that was the first thing that should fall from his mouth. But I feel the word wife itself reminds him of Maya Mehrotra and he is unable to handle that name as he is afraid of her.

What has happened to Ayan. This man doesnt smile. What a cute smile Sumit had. Why is he like this. I know Simi died, but it seems it has been some time, but this man's eyes looks so so sad as if he is still living in past.

Arohi has heard the name Maya. She wants to know who she is. And she calls Arjun and Saanjh Duffer and Dusky not bade papa aur badi maa or tauji and taiji.

Dusky says she is feeling Arjun becoming Maya's once again, now what is that. Is she insecure, the same way Maya was when Dusky came now and then.

The number 3 made another interesting entry today. Maya has prescriptions for 2 medicines but not the third one. hence the third is not given. Most of the things in this show has moved in "3"s. 3 has been the most consistent number of the whole Beyhadh. And then they showed 8 also, once again number between 7 and 9 Maya's 2 birth dates. But they showed a third birth date for Maya also. One in her tomb. So the "3s" are piling up.

I peraonally would be very happy if my husband had called me his zindagi...his himmat ..his mehneth and his dosth...instead of telling that i am his wife.Maya also didn't want to be Arjun's wife.she wanted to become Arjun's zindagi.Saanjh is more mature enough to handle the situatiin and pain of Arjun spending time with the revolver. At least she didn't take the gun and break it into pieces and throw the bullet somewhere without Arjun s knowledge..and said some kahanis..something which Maya would have done.
Saanjh is sad because she know Arjun is dtermined to kill Maya and that will lead him to jail. She is fearing that loss. She has not been able to reduce his hatred for Maya. But she understands the situation and handles it.3 years of life with Maya...Arjun wanted to free himself out of suffication.5 years with Saanjh he wanted to remove their kaala saaya and live haappily with his family evera after.

watched this weeks episode and I am loving the leap so far. I love how saanhj feels that someone is also there BTW her and arjun lol. its hurts when u don't have your partners full attention, u want it on u and only u. u can see even though they together they still lonely. if anything they look more like proper friends now then they did before all the leaps. there is just something missing there. the episode when Arjun. says that he and saanhj dnt have kids and saanhj's expressions I wnt be surprised if they never did anything in the bedroom lol.

and maya hmmm always a smart cookie. when u want to learn the art of war u read the BG. its the devi and the devil that's the theme of this leap. hope there is a twist.

the little girl is very cute BT her voice modulation is bad.

Let's see. But Kunti had abandoned Karna as she feared society would judge her, for being an unmarried mom. Karna had to rejection and he was adopted and people mocked at him for daring to learn art and never acknowledged his talent. He had the opportunity to become king which he always dreamt of ( which was btw rightfully his but was denied due to kunti) and Krishna/arjun and co knew that he was very good and even Krishna and Kunti told him the truth to bring him on their side but he preferred to stay on adharma because he made a promise and according to him it was dharma. We saw him at multiples instances showing regrets but he was killed by treachery again and he was the righful heir but he died. So I agree that it was due to the fact that kunti left him that led to his destruction since it was too late. How about Jhanvi?

Jhanvi is not a Kunti! She did not abandon Maya till such time, maya faked her own death and bid good -bye to her mother & then, ran away to a distant ashram, for planning her own death after impending death of Arjun!
Maya did not show any concern or care for a helpless Jhanvi, if she were to succeed in her death wish, along with Arjun!
If both maya & Arjun were to disappear from her life, what would that handicapped woman do? Who would help her, in reminder of her life? Saanjh & her family ??
If Jhanvi is supporting Saanjh now, it is because Maya ditched her! Even after her aborted plan, when maya returned back home, she treated jhanvi as an unwanted baggage, to be cared only by hospital staff! That was the maximum love a daughter could do for her ailing mother!
Then why should Jhanvi support Maya who was so self-centered & preoccupied with her own priorities in life?

If Maya could think of killing her own mother for her selfish interests, can you blame Jhanvi, if she hired a supari to dispose a threat - in the life of her well-wisher who cared her, when her own 'khoon' chose to abandon her!

PS: Kunti-Karn example was cited , with a limited scope of what happens if mother can not recognise her own child!
Otherwise, maya is no Kunti! Nor, Aarohi could be called as Karn, with not much info known about her!

This is an independent post, just that it still fits into this thread and that's why i am mailing it here.

1. The way i look at it, the reason no-one is complaining in this golden cage is that they are together and are not alone. It's like comparing to a lot of households or girls convent school hostels. The problem with Maya's cage was that jhanvi was alone.

2. When a child comes to this world, they do not know the social norms. A 1-2 yr old child would always snatch his favourite toy from another child. They have to be 'taught' to be social and they have to be checked right there and then. If parents/guardians fail to teach them social norms or give moral values, then yes they are the most irresponsible lot.

Jhanvi saying that maya is mad and bad and has anger issues is right but she has failed as a mother/guardian and she is equally if not more responsible.
It is not about her getting killed or anything, it is about realisation that she is the one who has not been able to give values and at the same time did not guard her from Ashwin.

3. Arjun- he failed miserably as a husband. He knew before marriage that Maya is possessive and had also seen her getting scared of Ashwin. But probably he has also not seen love of family as Vandana was always a felicitator and not his mother and was giving him everything but was not able to teach him to be responsible for his actions etc. He also has not experienced family values.
If i know a person has a problem, be it temperamental/suicidal/medical you deal with it by not stopping them only but give them enough confidence which i think Arjun did not try or do.
Maya had put cctv cameras in that 3 yrs time and not before that, which means he failed to earn her trust.

4. Saanjh- I really feel bad the way cv's have made her. She had a perfect family, perfect upbringing but failed her parents. Yes, her best friend needed her help and she should have given it but if you become the reason for insecurity you have to either help become a person secure and give the person more space for their relationship to grow. You don't complain.

Arjun, Saanjh and VM, whom you've claimed to do bad (aka Adharma), have all dealt with the "adult" Maya, not the child one.

And we might sympathise with the child Maya, but there is no doubting that the child has grown into a monstrous adult, whose crimes have effectively wiped out any justice that the child might have been owned.

Even If justice has to be currently given for the child, it goes to the adult, because the child doesn't exist now- it's an adult, and the adult, on the balance of her actions, doesn't deserve justice.

Completely agree Maya d child needs justice, n her revenge should be directed towards Jahnavi n Ashwini but how do Arjun, Sanjh, Vandana, Ayan come into her scheme of things or r they just a collateral damage? M not whitewashing them m genuinely curious as to what exactly is Maya's path n her Dharma?

The problem is that none of the characters have realised and accepted where have they failed. And that realisation has to come.
5. Ayan- I still don't understand, he was implicated by Maya i the rape case, he knew he was wronged then why did he instigate her when she was pregnant. If he knew she cannot change, then it was really bad timing. He should have maintained distance and planned his next move but confrontation? Really?

6. Arohi- I really hope she is not Arya's bandar, whichever way VM lost her life because of that. If either Arjun or Maya knew of her existence then this would be wrong to showcase the fight that happened thereafter.
