This part is reproduced from @charanyaaj's WU of Beyhadh 25th May episode!

.. . Maya takes jhanvi to bathroom and cries. She carry jhanvi and put her in bath tub and says you didn't hear my voice thats why I'm like this and opens the tap fills the tub with water and says do you remember what happen last time when you didn't listen to me jhanvi thinks about flashback how maya tried to kill her and jhanvi asks why you tried trap me n show me as a mad in front of all today I will tell who is real Pagal. While running away from maya her leg gt slipped but maya holds her and asks why are you trying to show me as mad. Maya says she needs to put blame on some one if you accept that you killed ashwin and if you are mad then court will not do any thing and i will help you but jhanvi refuse maya and says i will tell this to arjun so maya push her from the building . . .

The write-up if indeed is exact dialogue spoken by Maya, then Maya is criminal in mind set and buri only!

Her bimari could have caused her burai behavior!

Just look at what happened & how, when Ashwin died?!

Maya comes prepared to the crime scene with a clear motive to kill Ashwin!
She executes successfully & swiftly with a novel way of killing-syringe and all that! So the death happens slowly but makes it difficult to ascertain the cause & weapon etc!
She completes the Shaadhi formalities as if nothing happened!
She later on tries to shift blame on Jhanvi as given above & even assures that she would save her!
One wonders if Maya had kept Arjun belongings in case he tried to runaway from her?

She evades the law for more than 3 years & gloats to her mother all of sudden, how she did the job!

Is this a behavior of a cool headed calculative professional killer or some crazy & mad person?

Answer is obvious!

Your post makes a lot of sense...maybe she has done ground work of a beemari in case she gets caught...so she will plead bimar in court to go scot-free 😲

I request all to re-watch first 7-8 mins of this epi...Maya-Ashwin scene & Maya- Jhanvi scene...it's an insight into Maya's psyche..

It points towards Maya being a psychopath, Imo..

Maya's Sach is that she is a medically confirmed psychopath, I think...

If she is a a born psychopath, then its a bemaari and a bemaari can be treated. Problem is Ashwin was a patient too, so if her bemaari is genetic then we can't really blame her accept for not getting any treatment.
However, I somehow feel that she is more of buri then a bemaar, at least the current Maya is buri. Buri in the sense that she is somehow blaming the world for what Ashwin did to her only. We can't be really sure that if the torture triggered the buri Maya or bemaari was in-born. What I can blame Arjun and Maya herself is the lack of eagerness to become better. Two wrongs doesn't make a right..

@Bold - Realistically speaking and from whatever I have read/known, not all beemari/diseases are curable, be it relating to the mind or the body. Psychopathy is one of them; can be 'controlled' to an extent depending on cases to cases but can't be completely 'treated'. I could very well be wrong about this though, just saying what I read.

As far as I know, PSYCHOPATH is known to be incurable...it basically means that psychopaths think differently, n with childhood trauma, can turn into criminals due to their "different" thinking..

JW has long back called her character grey & described as sociopath! The key characteristics being the 'unpredictability' nature of Maya!

If the CVs have stuck to the original idea of character projection then she is very much a mentally challenged person exhibiting unpredictable and violent nature when provoked or threatened!

But ,of late she is more cool & professional in carrying out crimes with some good planning! Hence the confusion on Bimari vs Buri!

The classic example is gold fish incident! There was no provocation or threat but still she exhibited a cruel nature!

As per latest stand of actor, Maya is slipping from grey to shades of black! So moving from sociopath to psychopath, perhaps!

Also, with time she is attaining perfection & is turning out to be a connoisseur of this art of killing!

Maya has now become a professional & serial killer and even has attained the capacity to deal with another psycho in this show!

She is deadly & trouble for everyone except Arjun, as long as he stays with her!

I said 'if', there is still a question mark as to whether she is psychopath or not. Also, it is established that she is not mentally stable, even so she never intended to get treatment. But yeah if its a proven psychopathy case then no amount of treatment can cure an uncaring mind. She would be lost to the normal world.
But my point was different; if she has a genetic mental disease, would we still blame her?

I wasn't questioning you, I know what you meant. Realistically speaking again, we should. Genetic or not, inherited or not, or whatever the factors may be who made Maya who she is, she's committed criminal offences and she is to be held responsible for them and serve punishment accordingly. It's not about the blame here, it's about the responsibility.
