@ aditi that's what I am exactly telling dialogues and actions dont match. When actions dont match it can be subconscious which you are not aware of. Our thoughts make us do certain actions which may not be inline with our conscious goals. Do you realize it. Does Saanjh realize it. Maybe not as you rightly said. How her actions are getting perceived and what her actions are actually doing. But I feel she has the capacity to understand herself better and take actions. I feel when Samay betrays her, that will be the point of change for her. Because it is very hard to deal with broken trust. Many people go bad do crime at this point. But if you can survive that point holding onto something or if someone can give helping hand to you to hold on when trust breaks, then things can change. That's a very crucial point. Saanjh's trust has not been broken yet. This is her key difference with Maya who was unable to trust neither herself nor anyone thanks to Jhanvi who couldnt help her as a child. She needs a rude shock, a very rude shock.

Parallel I can say from Ek Hasina thi, the brutal deal Dr Dayal gives to Dev. Though when I first watched the episode I had enjoyed it for Sakshi, Dayal and Shaurya for all the scheming and planning, I had watched it later multiple times feeling for Dev. That's the point where CVs justified why Nithya trusted Dev blindly. Why he was Nithya's God because the only person you can trust blindly is God. What happened to Nithya in first instance was Dev's mail that he will not help her. Her trust was broken, from that downhill and manipulative girl who even plays with Dev. When Dev walks towards mandap that was his journey of restoring her soul back, restoring her trust back with actions that Dev had not betrayed Nithya intentionally. He becomes her God once again when Dayal tells what offer he gave to Dev and she wins the battle, because her trust was restored. Her blind faith was restored in action.

Something of that sort should happen for Saanjh. Because I feel after Arjun, atleast for brief period Maya had trusted Saanjh, which actually breaks when she hugs Arjun when Maya saves her, add to that Holi colors. It did play a major role in sending Maya to dark path once again. So she needs to restore that trust back.

And yes Saanjh feels remorse. Baby was there or not Saanjh feels remorse. That's the difference between not only her and Maya, but also Vandana and Saanjh. A kind of empathy. True empathy which maybe binded by ego

Yes I understand Shruthi di. I am sooo used to ur writing style 😃
U had compared Saanjh to Sandhya(DABH) right? Was Sandhya any vamp? But she was very flawed n hypocritical. Mahaan bahus in EK n RS shows are always appreciated but I haven't liked them. Saanjh is one of them. For others she will do all bizarre things n use her detective skills n end up losing her own ppl, her self respect.

I hope makers don't show her as a dumbo anymore. It's high time. As u said after Samay ditches her, her character will have considerable change.

Saanjh is different from VM and that was proved in the ArYa wedding itself when she said VM's views abt Maya were due to her blind superstitions.

At that time VM was plane judgemental. I think noone here actually liked her behavior, irrespective of the fact whether they support her or not.
When Maya fell on her feet, the "mother" in VM wanted to give ashirwaad to her daughter, but her judgemental approach suppressed the "mother" in her.
VM is also not inherently wrong. I think single mothers are a little possessive abt their son's. She's far better than KRP's Ishwari 😆
But she's not selfless or complete white as well. And during that track her actions can't be justified.

@aditi you are right in what you said about those lines
@sunithi you need to know one thing in Beyhadh. There are 3 homes. One Mathur home, one Sharma home and third Mehrotra home.

Mathur home is the ideal one. It is a home in true sense. Prem and Suman who loved each other, married and had set up a happy family with 2 children. They have given the right values, right upbringing to their daughter Saanjh and son Shubham. And if you see in this house Saanjh is treated at par with Shubham or given more importance I would say. Prem and Suman has not putting any bindings on her due to her gender. She is given all the choices about her life. In nutshell Saanjh knows the foundation of good values, she has experienced love in true sense from her parents, they have always delivered on her trust. Though Saanjh has experienced love she has not experienced life for what it is. It's unfairness. So her knowledge is adhura because of that.

Now we have Sharma home. Here a man had 2 wives. One passed away and he married another woman almost immediately after the first wife's death, had a child also and then he passed away. Society is blamed for that marriage because they put blame on Vandana for overstaying in Sharma house, so to protect her honor as well as to get Arjun a mother Mr Sharma married her. Well how much truth in it Bhagvan jaane😆. But the moot question remains was marriage the only way to save Vandana's honor and marriage the only way to become a mother to Arjun. This family says something, does something else. Yes all the values are spoken. But the gender difference exists. One law for girl, one law for man. It was clear in Prem's funeral where Vandana tells ghar ka damath will do, without thinking Saanjh is there she can do if Shubham cannot. So she goes by patriarchal laws and traditions. My son didnt do anything in Ayan case ( Ayan manhandled Maya, Vandana cannot run away from this), My son is bhola is typical way of people that propogates patriarichial values. The progressive thougths happens in paper, not in real life. Where son can have pre marital it is forgiven, but his fiancee has to be a virgin which I feel Simi Ayan's fiancee is. Sons can drink well they are boys. So you can see values in paper and nothing in action. But it is very difficult to prove this gender bias in this home. It is beautifully camouflaged by the hypocrisy.

Now comes the Mehrotra home. Well pray you never end up in a home like this. This is a place where a man doesnt respect a woman, treats her like a doormat and the woman is fine with it. You can say Mera Pati Parameshwar hai doesnt matter he abuses me, my child and have affair with another woman. But man has to be tolerated. Gender bias of Jhanvi is very evident. She is fine to Ashwin, she is fine to Arjun, she agrees Ayan didnt do anything. Only her daughter is bad and mad. What is Maya's problem. She doesnt fit the stereotype image of a girl. Maybe in childhood, maybe now also. She had a different level of intellect and the feminine aspect is kind of dead in her after seeing her mother so subservient. Feminine means subserviant to this girl and I feel there is a need to in her to be different from her mother who has not protected her. She has experienced life the most harsh way. Yes she has experienced life, but she has not experienced love the right way. She doesnt know the meaning of love in true form. Her actions are based on experience. Her knowledge is also adhura.

Saanjh with experience gained and having the foundation of love is needed to do something, which is the story changing point. The point where perceptions breaks, Maya goes. I want to write something more. But let Maya go, then I will write.

@sunithi how can Arjun decision be wrong. i was so so happy when during Prem's funeral CVs showed how wrong VMs decision was, how right Arjun's decision is. The level of maturity Arjun showed in that scene, you have to give to the character as well as to KT for enacting that scene. Actually from analysis perspective this week's episodes were good and are more or less inline with my thoughts of the overall storyline.

I always wondered,y u always ask question about Arjun decision making capabilities..2day arguments made me realise,y his name is duffer..

sorry to interrupt but why you are guessing about a fictional characters mind!! There can't be mind reading and assumptions on fictional characters thoughts and minds..There is nothing IF to vandana..Vandana accepted and believe again because that was the opinion she had about Maya when she met her first,"breaking the glass" seeing saajun...Vandana was correct about Maya ,she cater as 0e4 her motherly instincts...Who will give away their own son to someone like maya!! Won't any mother stop their children to get married to a bad person ...Maya appeared dangerous to Vandana...Why is it so hard to accept the fact that was shown on screen !! Why is it so difficult to understand what is shown, and why we all are putting our own perspective and just talk out of it instead of looking at the TV.screen and read the characters as it's shown...I am sorry but to be honest vandana was correct about Maya and she need not give chance to maya at all...There is no need to accept the drama maya stages every time...

In that case Arjun was also right about Vandana in childhood, when she came in their life, his both parents died almost at the same period of time. Wasn't she also bad luck for Arjun's family?Whats the difference between Maya and Vandana in victimizing themselves, she also had been showing her sob story in front of the world and everybody blaming Arjun for not accepting Vandana, Even that part is unknown on how Arjun's dad died.

@sindu for you Vandana is right accepted, but for many of us she is wrong at many places. Respect the POV than tell answer is in TV screens. Same scene can mean different things to different people, depends on how you look at it. Allow everyone to put their perspective than imposing your opinion on them.

Guys one more thing I remembered about Vandana. She tells Maya is risk to Arjun blah blah but why in her dreams she sees Maya coming to kill her, but not Arjun. If she is so concerned about Arjun then her dreams should show threat to Arjun, Maya trying to kill Arjun. So far ek bhi dream she has not seen where Maya harms Arjun, but she has seen Maya harming her.

CVs aaj tumhare mukh mein ghee Shakakr from my hands. What a superb break down from Saanjh. Superb means it was brilliant and for the first time I give full marks to Aneri for that exceptional scene. It had all the elements of a girl who feels herself morally responsible for her father's death. Her dialogue if I had not gone for Maya's truth, then Ayan wouldnt have been trapped, then i need not take proofs, I need not send them to Papa , need not tell hurry Papa, then short circuit happens and her father dies. She told i shouldnt have listened to Vandana aunty, I should have listened to you Maa. And I too cried with her when she told what would Papa would have felt when he got the shock. He might have cried Saanjh, Suman no one was there to hear him.
It was the break down of a daughter who had many times ignored the voice of her father. She telling I can face everyone, but I do I face my mistakes. Why is no one telling me you are responsible for your father's death. I should get punishment. And she asking Samay for punishment, asking her to kill her was so metaphoric, because that is what is going to happen to her. She has to learn to live without her father, she will have to face it. Yes it has burned her. But she has to rise from it like a phoenix, because that is what her father has taught her. She has to go for Maya's truth. She has to, but not the truth which she thinks is the truth, but the real truth. Truth of a traumatized child who suffered something very terrible on a 9th birthday. That truth will liberate her, liberate her from the conscience pricking.

If that scene was superb Arjun-Maya confrontation is also superb. Maya mind your words. Maya has told Arjun to choose. Maya told he can go to Dusky but she will live, if not for herself but for the baby. Maya bites Arjun with the harsh words he used. She tells him you have always placed the blame of your choices on me. Now choose, based on your choice your goal will differ. Arjun for the first time accepts he has not been a good son, good friend, good husband or good brother. He tells he knows the goal and he needs to do something.I do really hope he does something. Because it is high time he has been a football among 3 ladies and it is high time he put everyone in their place. It's time his ego too takes a beating. I feel both Samay and Maya hit his ego today with respect to his relation with Saanjh. But both of them asked the valid questions. Maya said the child doesnt know where friendship ends and where love begins. Yes that line has to be drawn between friendship and love. That line has to be drawn. If a relation hangs loose without a name, without a meaning it is destructive as anyone can give any intrepretation to it.

So Jhanvi has survived. I expected so. Because the baby stopped Maya from committing murder of VM or Saanjh and since Arjun came I felt he will save Jhanvi and Maya will be spared of murdering her mother. Yes attempt to murder is there, but if murder had gone through the dark zone she would have gone cannot be redeemed. I hope the shock Jhanvi received in the water tub cures her to some extend. I cannot see her again in that wheel chair with beep sound.

But the best part was Samay bringing Saanjh out, irritating her especially with you have to float the asthis, then do the after death rituals and then you have to learn to live without him and Saanjh breaks I cannot do anything for my father, because I killed him. It is time that has taken Prem, but Saanjh feels responsible. She tells Suman if time goes from your hand, then nothing remain. I allowed time to go and I lost my father. Every dialogue was powerful, well written both symbolically and emotionally. Yes managing time is the key. If you dont manage the time, then time takes love from your life.

This is also the beauty of Saanjh character. When I wrote Saanjh going for Arjun will lose her father or Saanjh's mistake of telling Maya about sending video tape to Prem, I didnt expect such a massive breakdown from this girl with guilt. Her realization was a beauty which is very much essential for that character turn around. This is the beginning of what makes Saanjh apart from Maya, and Vandana and even Arjun who finds scape goats for their crime/mistakes like circumstances, people, maa, beta and any tom, dick, harry. She had the ability to introspect, the reason she wanted to committ suicide was not the pain of her father's death, but the guilt of being responsible for her father's death.

Yes shruthi sanjh's break down was superbly shown ... And aneri acted it well ... I have seen aneri from her last show and ahe has something whenever she cries on screen it looks so real ... The scene has a power that connects you to the character sanjh ...
Today sanjh was engulfed with self guilt ... The worst thing that could happen to you is getting engulfed with self guilt ... Self guilt is like termites if not taken care at initial stage it keeps eating you from inside ... It never leaves you until your soal leaves your body ... It stays with you forever and keep reminding you of your mistakes ...
The worst punishment anyone could get is self guilt ...

Another dialogue that samay said "jabb samay ata h to sanjh ko bhi ana padhta h " ... Samay the man will directly/ indirectly will bring out the stronger sanjh out ... Like he did today ... Everything came out in open what she was hiding from everyone ... Soon the sanjh that is hidden will come out through samay ... The sanjh who is prem-suman's daughter ...

yes Poornima when time comes Saanjh comes, she is strong, she has emotional courage and she can turn around things. She has to do it. Because she is Prem's legacy. She has to show the world what her father was. That path will also liberate her from self guilt.
As you rightly said self guilt can kill a person if it is not channeled correctly , but if it gets the right direction, it transforms and brings positive change in the lives of people. Yes Samay will directly/indirectly make Saanjh realize her potential. He will bring out the strong Saanjh. But I also feel Suman will play a major role in helping Saanjh come out of self guilt. And Saanjh will listen to her mother. That is another key difference between Saanjh and Maya too. Mother.
