@shruthi: Sorry, I have not been active on this forum but I have always liked your thread & you have been referring to Mahabharat with this show. My gut feeling is that Rajeev definitely had an agenda in his mind to kill Prem else, if he really wanted to delete the video, he could have used many ways to do that. His objective to kill Prem was to bring Maya to the backseat as the blame would come on her. Maya is indirectly responsible for his death but she didn't anticipate that Rajeev would kill Prem. It is not a surprise if he double crosses Maya at the crucial moment as she would have definitely had the backup plan to escape. If anyone can counter Maya, it has to be only Rajiv. Saanjh+Arjun+Ayaan+Shubh+Suman although put together cannot be equal to Maya. So if Rajiv is on that side, it will be evenly balanced. Of course, Jhanvi has to give the casting vote as she can make either of the sides to win the battle.
Coming to good vs evil, I would say that if Maya gets destroyed/ruined, it means that Ashwin has won the battle despite whatever he has done to her. By default, Maya was naive and innocent but it didn't serve her purpose. When she was newly married, she wanted to start everything on a new leaf but Vandana didn't give her a single chance. Jhanvi had supported Maya in marrying Arjun & she stood against Ashwin for that. She was able to shoot Ashwin but the latter had to die in Maya's hands. When both Jhanvi & Maya wanted him to die then why did Jhanvi blame her & threatened to expose her in front of the world? If she wanted Ashwin to live, why did she take the gun to shoot him in the first place? Why Jhanvi why? Why did you push Maya to propose to Arjun when you know that she is not mentally stable? You told Maya that killing is not good but you came forward to kill your husband to save your daughter's interest. When you wanted him to die how does it matter whether you killed him or Maya killed him? Arjun broke the ties with Vandana for throwing the garbage on Maya to which he said she is his step mother. Ayaan knew that Vandana was on the wrong side yet he fought with his brother whereas he himself wanted to leave the house before that. As for Arjun, he told his friend to disguise as a tantrik to make Jhanvi confess that she killed Ashwin. He was inwardly happy to leave his 2 BHK & shift to Maya's 14-storeyed building. He took the car keys and used her car. In the office, he has been telling Vikram and others that he aims big & he did the smart work by marrying Maya to get the CEO post. Even in the bachelor's party, he blurted out to his friends that if they want to become rich all they need to do is to trap the rich girl like he did. Maya knew it very well but she pretended as if she didn't know anything. She also saw Saanjh & Arjun at the restaurant discreetly where he professed his love to her.
Had Arjun been sincere to her, Maya might have changed for the better. If Rajeev had not lusted towards her, she might have chosen him over Arjun.
I am not telling these things to justify Maya. She has done a lot of wrong things & has to pay for the crimes she has committed. However, it does not make others right.
So in all, no one has been fully sincere towards her.
