Vandy was never an appealing character to me. In fact I have always preferred Suman and Prem over her. They are good parents maybe a bit overboard with their love for Saanjh but then which parent isn't! I actually see these two as people with normal human flaws.

Vandy on the other hand is such a regressive person with her blind faith ...beliefs that she doesn't even budge and change her views on people. She doesn't believe in giving people a chance. She has been a bad influence on Saanjh and only fueled Saanjh's obsession on Arjun ! Arjun going out of station. ..call Saanjh to pack his bag... Y couldn't u being the mom do that for him!!

Vandy without bring a psycho like Maya shows symptoms of a person devoid of humanly feelings. Who smiles seeing a person flagellate herself... and think how well he raised her son ATM.. she should be shocked and scared seeing that instead of smiling creepily!! Well Maya the psycho at least attended to her wounds by applying first aid with Saanjh the eternal peeping Tom seeing it. But when Maya had purposely injured her own hand and I guess Saanjh or Ayaan maybe nursing her this woman shows no empathy but stands there looking disgusted and angry.

Even on the first day when Maya the newly wedded bride would enter her sasural this woman threw such a fit about not welcoming her that she stormed away from the place in such a way that she bumped into Ayaan so hard that the thali fell from his hand and glass pieces scattered everywhere and Maya cutting her leg in the process. Was the glass piece there by itself? Vandy created such a nuisance that apshagun happened!! Even when Arjun was attending her feet this woman has no emotion and does not feel bad seeing her bruised feet! This woman is not even a psycho but still she remains unmoved seeing someone in pain cuz of her hatred.

She doesn't take a second to curse Arjun with unhappiness... she has everytime chosen Ayaan over Arjun!! This so called normal mom with her motherly feelings disgusts me!!

The actress playing Vandana is really bad...a good actress could have taken this role really high...

I think she ought to have given a relieved but outraged looked in that scene...relieved that's it's not Arjun beating Maya, n outraged for obvious reasons...

Most people are not relating with Vandana character mainly because of poor acting...

Vandana's smile is normal... just before she climbed on the stool... she was very agitated that Arjun can be a wife beater - for what ever reason. She doesnt approve arjun beating Maya even if Maya did a grave mistake.

So when she finally got on the stool and looked at the actual scene... where maya was infact beating herself and arjun was the one trying to stop her... She was relieved that her arjun can not do something so cheap and beat his wife like that with a belt. It is her relief that came out as a smirk... that She was right about Arjun and may be right about Maya too...

I think it is absolutely normal
