But when Saanjh was insulting Maya brutally pointing finger on her character in the courtroom then you guys didn't find anything wrong? Especially even after seeing the episode of how Ayaan had actually assaulted her and said filthy dialogues to her?

Maya smiling to Saanjh was her way of revenge. The revenge of insult that Saanjh did in the courtroom.

What did you guys expect of Maya upon seeing Saanjh like that? Did you guys expect Maya to run after Saanjh and say "oh meri pyaari dost Saanjh I am sorry" ? And don't tell me had Saanjh won the case and Maya was insulted by those women then Saanjh wouldn't have smiled too.
