Ashwin is Shakuni, Maya is Arjun/Panchali, Arjun is dharmaputra who keeps his wife as the bait to disrobe her and calls it dharma. Jhanvi is sun with whom Samay has to play to create the illusion.

Prem has to be Abhimanyu, as he is royally pissed off by his daughter always going for Sharmas. Ayan is not duri, he has to be dussashan. VM is the jayadratha, and Saanjh she is the Karna. The power of Saanjh, the dharma of Saanjh it is very high.

I had always thought about this girl Saanjh. I had thought how her dharma will be taken, because she has that kind of dharma about her, a very high moral ground a kind of loyalty towards Arjun beyond what is right and wrong. Till her dharma is taken the battle will be tough. She herself has to let go of that dharma.

@nietzy anything about power it is there in MB. If you understand MB you understand power and the way to deal with it.

Absoulte brilliance..Arjun,Madhav,saanj,Maya roles r somewhat clear..I am still confused btw Jhanvi and Prem as Jhanvi also has half knowledge reg.ayan..She heard what Ayan said but didn't know the complete picture.might be that's where Madhav create an illusion.. they ve kept totally away from this picture as of now..Once he enters,might be v vl get the clear picture..Once he dies,will it won't make saanj as Arjun or her scarifice will make her as karna..

@bold: It reminds me of that bees saal baad movie starring Mithun, Dimple, & Meenakshi. Mithun & Dimple are lovers.They get married despite the odds but they die. Dimple's body does not get cremated so her soul gets restless & she tries to snatch Mithun from Meenakshi because her father had tried to disgrace her & she killed herself. Mithun dies when he gets attacked by some goons. Mithun takes a rebirth as his body is cremated but Dimple's body is not found so she is a restless soul.

Mithun marries Meenakshi in his rebirth but Dimple tries to snatch Mithun from Meenakshi as her father was responsible for her state so as to make her father feel the pain. Dimple had already placed one nail on Mithun's foot on one full moon. All that she needed to do was to place in other foot too so he would be with her forever. She was trying that but Meenakshi prayed to Devi maa & threw the Sindoor on her. The soul vanished. The sage told the couple that she is a great soul otherwise she would have harmed others. He finds her missing parts of the body. Mithun does as instructed.

After 20 years, Mithun dies but Meenakshi's son looks like her husband. He meets Dimple at the college & they unite.

Coming to the show, Maya will apologize to all & will revealing about her miserable life fully. She will say that instead of getting hanged to death or dying in the mental asylum, she will rather die & will commit suicide. Saanjh marries Arjun they get a boy who will look like them. Arjun would also die but his son would look like him. Then 20 years down the line, he will meet Maya but a different one. Then they will unite. Maya will enter as Saanjh's DIL.

Also known as "Dharmaraj", Yudhisthira has a great attachment with morality, truth, commitment and righteousness.Arjun has always been shown as a duffer n wrong in almost all his relations. He is also very egoistic.

And how has Arjun kept Maya as bait to disrobe her???That too when he himself has been kept all 4 limbs tied after being heavily injected with some intoxicating drug by her???& Locked in a room??? On the contrary, Maya used Arjun as a bait to lure Ayan by locking him up...

Samay will create an illusion???...I thought the illusions were well established well before his entry...If anything , Samay will help to lift the veil from the illusions.

On the thirteenth day of the war, Kauravas challenged the Pandavas in a war formation called Chakravyuh' (In which, all the warriors enter a spiral kind of a defensive formation and with each layer, one had to face more skilled warriors, as they moved inside). This was done by Dhronacharya - Commander in chief of the Kaurava army, in order to trap four of the Pandava brothers and with their defeat, end the war. The other Pandava brother - Arjuna and their aide Krishna (who knew how to break in to the Chakravyuh and break out of it) were purposefully drawn in to a separate battle with the Samsaptakas. It goes that, Abhimanyu knew how to enter the Chakravyuh but he did not know how to exit from the formation. And Dhronacharya did not know that.

This is probably the most irrelevant of all comparisons to Mahabharata characters here...Prem is just a silent spectator in the show, with practically nothing much to do, imo...How is he Abhimanyu?????...N y will he die???

Ayan is not duri, he has to be dussashan.

No point in debating over this one till it is proven otherwise that Ayan was not sexually assaulting Maya...I have no doubts, though ...

VM is the jayadratha,

In the war, Jayadratha fights on the side of Duryodhana in the Kurukshetra War. On the 13th day of the Mahabharata war, when the chakravyuha is launched by Dronacharya, Jayadratha makes use of Lord Shiva's boon. Arjuna's son Abhimanyu manages to enter the formation; he intends for the Pandava forces to follow after him and smash the formation from the inside. Jayadratha moves to close the gap, and is able to hold all the Pandava brothers and their forces at bay. As part of Drona's strategy, Arjuna and Krishna are busy battling Susharma and the Trigata Army elsewhere. Abhimanyu, who does not know how to exit from the chakravyuha, is trapped and brutally killed by the Kaurava Warriors in a combined attack.

Jayadratha was in a way responsible for Abhimanyu death. So how is VM Jayadratha if Prem is Abhimanyu?????Does VM wish to kill Prem???

Or maybe not all characters can be compared to characters of Mahabharata.

@khushi Karna's only mistake or crime was calling Panchali a prostitute in the infamous hall of dice. Yes he called her that. Saanjh also goes chipko with Arjun. There is no denying that. And that is her only mistake. Irrespective of all his dharma that one action of Karna in the infamous hall of dice goes against him, followed by cutting Abhimanyu's bow from behind.

So Saanjh has her morals but when it comes to Arjun sometimes her morals go for a toss. Same was with Karna. For all his dharma he was associated with Duri.

And thanks for replying. Every story where power is involved in Mahabharatha. MB is always about knowledge of power. How power moves. It is about Maya and Leela. Leela is also illusion but for a positive cause. Which Krishna does.

Well I dont want to reply to other parts of your post. As we both are diametrically opposite in our views. As for you every story is not Mahabharatha and for me in every story I can see Mahabharatha just like the definition of the book itself. Whatever is there to know about Knowledge, wealth and power it is here and if it is not here you cannot find it anywhere else.

Even at this point I am only making guesses as far as MB goes as that book is very deep and how much ever you know there is still more to know. I am only looking at where is the power now. It is clearly with Saanjh, it was always with Saanjh. Power of Maya is just a facade, she is just an insecure, maniac girl who puts the facade of power because she has wealth and survival instincts she learned to survive in this world.
