I was thinking about this and one thing was sure that if it wasn't Maya there, if it was a man instead of Maya, maybe even a villain like Ashwin there in Maya's place, Ayaan's actions wouldn't be wrong. Imagine it was Ashwin who brought Arjun there, tied him up to the bed and locked his door, then Ayaan getting into a physical fight with clothes tearing, etc. to get the key wouldn't then seem wrong. The problem here is that since Maya is a woman, Ayaan ends up being wrong. The truth is even if Ayaan didn't intend to rape, he is wrong for the physical assault. And in a hypothetical situation, if we assume Maya didn't plan any of this, she or no woman can be faulted for accusing of rape because the way the scenario got played out, the lines do get blurred.

In all this, Ayaan's only tiny ray of hope would be if Maya's hand in the game gets exposed. Again, this wouldn't mean Ayaan is not guilty but just that Maya too would be guilty of other things like drugging Arjun, etc.

PS: Very honestly, it's difficult for me to take sides in the Ayaan vs Maya case because Maya's manipulations don't make her completely innocent and it makes me think that if only it wasn't Maya but someone else like a male person, Ayaan wouldn't be entirely guilty.

Arjun definitely is not going to believe maya.He might fake it until ayaan is proven not guilty

Only after what ayaan said to maya, arjun said this when he was tied to the bed.'Ayaan mere bhai use haath math laga tere zindagi barbaad kar degi'.

One thing we must appreciate in the story progression so far is the amazing consistency of CVs to keep every controversy or mystery open-ended!
That is, to set it up such a way that no one gets the blame squarely!

How does it work on the ground?
First write a situation in such a way that the primary lead Maya would say/do/make a gesture to bring her under a cloud of suspicion!
Then, for a given situation/controversy, other characters will get involved in it, without any application of mind & mess it up thoroughly!
Finally, the picture is so confused either you blame every one
Or,simply give up without getting a clear idea!

It is often possible a set of passionate fan groups/admirers
will actively engage in mudslinging and keep interest/passion levels very high!
When it dies down, another controversy will spring-up & the cycle goes on!
This is what happening all along, very deliberately & consistently!

But why so?
It helps to maintain perpetually the so called thrill effect of otherwise plain pathetic or distasteful sequence of events/controversies!

How long will this continue?
As long as possible!

I really do not think that CVs are ready to project Maya as main negative of show, till it reaches the concluding part!
So, be it, Ayaan, Saanjh, VM, Samay or even Arjun, all will have to share their burden of controversies, till then!
It will keep up the balance!

Ayan and Maya, both can be charged for manhandling. Ayan was a bit extreme as to get the key, he was ripping off Maya's clothes while Maya drugged Arjun and tied him up like he was an animal. Both acts were inhuman and neither acts can be justified. Maya is a psycho but Ayan is sensible enough to know what he did wasn't right.

The only issue being that breaking a door is not easy, if it were that easy, then doors would have served no purpose

Not justifying any action of Ayan, but just because its a TV show it doesn't mean that the person becomes a superhuman and capable of doing anything

ya he was definitely looking for the keys and so he was trying to bite her and suck it out of her blood. coz maya did not hid the keys in her clothes but rather she cut her skin and pushed the keys inside her body and patched herself up(i could actually imagine her do that lol). shape ayan who knows how all bad woman worked(must be coz his mother is so bad) knew that maya hid the keys inside her body and so was gona bite her all over her body just for the keys to save his lovely brother. may all good, decent ppl behave like rapist to get what they want.
