Based on Ayan's characterization it is highly unlikely that he will look at his brother's wife in a sexual way. I do not think he would attempt rape or sexual assault on Maya.

If he physically assaults her then also it is a criminal act and he should be punished.

Now let us say it is staged by Maya, I think she is very capable of doing it. Even then Ayan did a dumb stupid mistake by going to Maya's house even if it was to protect his brother or whatever. It is really not his business to interfere, it is Arjun's battle and Arjun needs to fight his battle himself with his wife. No third person should get involved in Arjun and Maya's problems as long as they are married.

Ayan did a dumb thing and if he lay his hands on Maya I am going to be repulsed with Ayan who so far was the most sensible and adorable character in this show.

Let me know the site from where you can watch episodes before they are aired. I haven't watched tomorrows episode yet, so all I can see from the precap is that Ayan is hitting her and ripped her sleeve during the struggle.
