But a few who thinks that Maya is their moral responsibility started personnel attacks against the TM and others who agreed with the TM and then brought everything you can into the thread because you have to defend Maya.

People who laughed at your comments, did not laugh at your beliefs but the attempt few of you take and the lengths you go to twist and turn everything to defend Maya. please learn how to respect another opinion and when to stop. And please do not bring the poor TM into this mess and start blaming her for creating this thread. That's exactly what you want, make every thread that criticize maya into a war zone and blame TM's so they don't make any topics criticizing Maya. Please stop this nonsense and let this forum be a positive place. Stop thinking that Maya is your moral responsibility and try to distinguish Real and reel. The beauty of Hinduism is that it's more so a way of life than a belief, where we have the freedom to mold our lives the way we see fit. There are rules and guidelines put so we know how to become self-realized, but there isn't a specific, "only this way" idea. Take the philosophy of the Gita for example. It's broken down into three sections - the Path of Action (Karma), the Path of Devotion (Bhakti), and the Path of Knowledge (Jnana). There isn't one particular path to being self-realized whereby you have to do X, Y, Z to achieve that. It 's sort of like a self-study where you achieve self-realization at your own pace across many births.

When greed, ego, and false ego enter the picture, that's when the "I am a Hindu", "I am a Muslim", "I am a Christian", etc. attitude enters. The basic philosophy of Hinduism is we are not this body, but a soul, why do we identity ourselves in such a manner. In true essence, we are only jivas, or living entities, who have been separated from God. Now whether you merge with Brahman, take on a spiritual body, etc. post becoming God-Realized is subject to your beliefs.

Just wanted to share my two cents on this topic. I see this getting thrown around a lot, and it's a bit frustrating because it's just an empty word of identification, trying to assert some sort of false sense of superiority when in fact ... we're no different. 😃
