Is it because he doesn't want to loose his friend or is it because he really doesn't care ...!?? Personally for me it's Arjun's devil may care attitude or his ego and power that's blinding him

but he doesn't care about anything now

He was actly being nice to her when the scene started .. When she spoke about leaving him , as usual his ego got hurt and finally when Maya turned up, he was into the conclusion that even if the whole world leaves him , Maya is gonna b wid Jim
