The answer is no. He does love Maya. If he were to marry her for money, he wouldn't have taken such a long time, he would have instantly agreed to Maya's proposal keeping his ambition in mind. He wouldn't have argued with the most meaningful people in his life (Saanjh, Ayaan, Vandana) over Maya, trying to make them see light. He would not care about Jhanvi's well-being nor he would've cared about Maya almost dying - in fact, if she had died, he would have everything he wanted. One may argue that he did all of the above to make it seem more realistic or natural, and despite the show's concept being extremes and crossing all boundaries and limitations, I highly doubt it.

However, Arjun has always been an ambitious person. He has always wanted luxury, he has always dreamed of being part of the lavish elite, and now that he's married to Maya, he can attain it all. Maya told Arjun: "Joh mera hai voh tumhara hai." And Arjun couldn't be happier to hear that. Arjun didn't marry Maya for her money, but that was certainly a plus point that came along. I believe he is slowly been overtaken by his fascination for money and power, he doesn't stop loving Maya, but he stars believing he is a powerful person when in reality he isn't. A powerful person isn't one who has power, but one who has earned power. Arjun seems to be forgetting this and something must bring him back to the ground before it's too late.

But I believe Maya will do that, as she said: "Maya ka pyaar hi tumhe zameen pe jannat dikhaega." Keyword: zameen (ground).

Beyhadh seems to be back with stronger symbolisms just like the very beginning of the show, finally😃

Yes I very much believe in your post. Arjun really loved Maya way more than her money ' but I am scared if he starts to value her money more than her 😕

Well Iam Glad Arjun Didn't Marry Maya For Her Money He Really Loves Her. But If He Starts To Value Her Money Hope Maya Does Something To Pull Him Back To Her. 😳

I dunno about the marrying for money bit, it's too early to say anything I feel. Though i don't deny the fact that he genuinely loves maya. But one thing has been established with quite certainty about Arjun's character. That he doesnt give a damn about anybody when it comes to himself. He is an extremely selfish person. And he takes everybody for granted. Saanjh, Ayaan, his mom. He didn't care one bit about how his own mother would be feeling about him leaving the house. If vandana is expected to understand maya and accept her, wasn't it arjun's duty to atleast make Vandana understand his pov? Wasn't it his duty to talk to her and tell her why she should be accepting maya? Forget about what Vandana's reaction would have been, he should have tried. A friggin person died on the wedding day on the wedding pyre and he expects vandana to be calm, really? But as long as he had maya, there was nobody else he cared about. Arjun has always been ambitious who has been dreaming about money, power, and position. Yes, he had initially hesitated in accepting Maya's proposal, he eventually accepted it. Arjun does love Maya but he loves his ambitions as well. His character became confusing ever since he blurted out that the easiest way to become rich is to woo a rich girl like Maya. He showed his concern for Jhanvi but that fake tantrik is a big question mark.
