Divide and rule

This is what Maya studied with Ashvin. Divide the mother and the daughter. And Maya is absolutely helpless before Ashvin

Now Vandana goes for a walk, next on line Aayan

If you leave Arjun and Ayan's relationship as before, then Arjun will pull home. Ayan will have something to say, something to convince and can make changes

This is not part of Maya's plans, so Ayan will be next. If the situation has come to that when Arjun should leave from the former house, then he must leave everything there, and not regret and not think. Even Dusky in this position again becomes a vague threat

The one who stands on Vandana's side is dangerous

Arjun spent his whole life babysitting Ayan, Ayan his soul, as Arjun said

But Ayan must leave

In the end, she get the desired result, but there is one BUT

Where was Ayan now is empty

Emptiness will whine, it will burn, it will make you think, missing

The void needs something to replace, something to fill

The child. He will distract.

Arjun's focus will be on Maya, and not on the family drama

And most importantly - fill the emptiness

Arjun will have a got Aayan, his own "Aayan"

One whom he doesn't need to shared with his stepmother

Wonderful analysis. No matter whatever taunts she gave and whatever insults she made, Maya didn't utter a word. She silently bore everything to the extent of her capacity. It has been Arjun all the while who had been observing and fighting for her.

If Maya wanted, she could have told that she was the one who bailed out Ayaan and united Arjun with her otherwise he would not even care the damn about her. With minimal talk, she got the maximum. Had she retaliated, she would have been in Arjun's bad books and Maya cannot afford to lose him. She knows very well that no son would bear if his wife back answers or retaliates to his mother. This is the mistake that many female leads make in other shows and we tend to say they are stupid and don't use their brains. I was longing to see the lead something like that and Maya had fulfilled that requirement. In other shows, there are parallel leads who are worse than Maya though they don't have mental issues.

Coming to Divide and Rule, Maya never intended to do that as she prayed to Ganesha to help her to be a good wife, good bahu and a good bhabhi. She also asked Ganesha to help her to accept Arjun's friends as his friends. But Vandana did not allow that to happen.

Maya gave Vandana plenty of chance to forget what has happened in the past and start the relationship on a new note which she didn't do. The divide and rule just happened effortlessly.

See Divide and rule always happens. If you ask me now Vandana will tell Maya divided Arjun and Ayan. They were together. But to be frank it was always a weak link. As Ayan was always in between two dominant personalities. On one side his mother and other side his brother. Ayan the boy loved both.

He is young, inexperienced and i would say still full of life. And both Arjun and Vandana are keeping a very difficult choice on his young shoulders. To correct all their mistakes/ crimes whatsever. It will be his dreams that will be kept in the altar of this battle. It will be he who will be asked to pay the most heavy price of this ego battle, battle of power. But it will be he alone along with Saanjh who will show all these people what love is

She isn't interested in other people's desires, only her own

And this is her problem

When Arjun and Ayan quarreled, not have influencing Arjun, she pressed on Ayan, but did she put a drop of her own efforts to prevent these conflicts from happening? No

Maya is silent, she has a lot of patience, incredibly much, I must say. To take revenge on Vandana. Maya has her own methods. Scream and insults have never been in her methods. So, why she start now? It's not her level

Maya came with the full intention and desire to create a family, to see the family, to feel the family

But when nothing happens, you have to decide where and how to move on. Where to go Arjun took decision, how to leave Maya took decision

U ve justified and analysed the character in a different or I can say in depth way..It's so easy to understand them from your perspective..U ve mentioned dusky and Ayan in a different dynamic,loved reading it..Keep going

P.s can you pls make a thread.it would be easy to find and read

Great analysis. I also believe that Maya "Intended" to make good on her prayer to become a good wife, Bahu and Bhabhi. To make Arjun's friends and family her own. But Vandana, the woman of the house before she came into the fold did not allow that. She got SO caught up in her bias and hatred and insecurity that she could not see that what she says she "knows" about Maya, should have cautioned her into crossing her.

The way to handle Maya is to give her the perception that she is winning that she has the upper hand. But you can still exert some control. If Maya thinks you are on her side, she will actually be your ally and life will be easy for you. But get her to think you are against her and you have a target on your back. Maya was an abused child and grew up in a dysfunctional family. This was HER way of being in control and making sure her world was running as smoothly as she was able to. This was her way of being a Mehrotra. But when she became a Sharma, she tried to be someone else. But Vandana didn't let her.

I hate Vandana's stupidity. Her narrow-minded behavior. Watching her and her OTT expressions are enough to make you hate the sight of her. She had a chance to make this work, but she didn't take it. Now Maya took her son. Instead of sharing him, (which she was willing to do, which is a big deal for Maya), now she will try to keep ALL of Arjun for herself. She will use Vandana's own behavior against her. Initially, Maya was genuine in her efforts with Vandana. But now she is playing an elaborate "Game!". She is using everything Vandana did against her and now she is backed to a corner, where Arjun will break all ties with her and even Ayaan! Vandana played right into Maya's hands. Stupid and dumb woman. Now she will try and involve Saanjh in her "Save Arjun" scheme as well, and in the end put Saanjh in jeopardy too.
