The Second angle

My previous post is about how I think Arjun is the killer: this is based on the fact that the Mauritius Pundit was killed...

Here's the link:

If the pundit's death was a natural death(as pointed by a few members) then there could be another possibility...

...That Arjun &/or Maya had only gone to check with the pundit about details of his prediction...The earring fell there...N the pundit coincidentally, died a natural death...

We then come to Ashwin...Who killed him???

There is a possibility that Jhanvi had offered big money to Arjun to marry Maya (since Maya had confided to Jhanvi that she was attracted to Arjun), in an attempt to "buy" happiness for her daughter...I have always found Jhanvi to be more psychotic that Maya, n her IQ, highly questionable...

Arjun always wanted to strike it big, n maybe, he succumbed to the lure of big money...Maybe, actually, Arjun loves Saanjh n wants to live a grand life with her....(I'm sure his blurt out in drunken stupor will be a key aspect for the future storyline...)
The emotional outbursts from Arjun to stop her from going to Singapore n at his wedding Mandap, support this theory...
Also, I had found Arjun almost SUDDENLY falling in love with Maya, after his outright refusal in the hot air balloon, always a big query for me...

Coming to Saanjh...A few episodes back, we saw a sudden change in Saanjh's demeanor, when she said that she would do anything for Arjun's happiness...

Is it possible that Saanjh, n then Vandana, have come to know about Arjun's plan to marry Maya for the money, n that he actually loves Saanjh?..Saanjh has come to know a day or 2 before the wedding...(I think Vandana has come to know just before the wedding, on the wedding day itself, n hence she wanted to stop the wedding at any cost, & rightly so...)...

Saanjh is so much in love with Arjun, that she is beyond right n wrong now...She knows that now Arjun will be hers, only AFTER marrying Maya...Her entire act at the wedding Mandap support this theory...Including her instigating Maya to come out of her room to marry Arjun, her song Channa mereya, n her interjection during the 7th vachan - this is most important, coz Saanjh knows that Maya will be furious when she will know the truth...So she makes Maya promise Arjun that no matter what, she will always love Arjun..

Vandana's OTT reactions, expressions, dialogues (how I wish Arjun was marrying Saanjh) all support this theory...She was worried on hearing the inspectors words yesterday, coz she's worried if Arjun has a role in Ashwin's murder...

So the question is, who has murdered Ashwin?...Here, the answer would then be...Jhanvi...

The kaala saaya surrounding Maya is that of her mother...who ACTUALLY suffers from depression, is bipolar, n totally psychotic...She can harm anyone...Ashwin did point towards Maya, then Jhanvi, then Arjun, n then back to Maya...

Maya is suicidal...She can only harm herself...She has been a victim all her life... to the deeds of her own parents...N now to those of Arjun...😭

Is this scenario possible??

Your theories have been laid down well, but given that both Arjun and Saanjh (in particular the latter) have been shown to have a strong moral compass so far, it looks unlikely.

Early in the show, there was talk of Arjun playing a double role and if that was the case, we could certainly have seen Arjun as the villain.

Jhanvi's theory is possible but her behaviour so far doesn't seem to indicate that of a killer- her outburst at Maya when she burnt Ashwin's gift, her plea to Maya to stop the wedding when the fire was on, her relative weakness in front of Ashwin (even cleaning up that cake in the floor in the earlier epi's)

Good or bad, that's why I've liked the show so far. They've kept all the angles open so far.

So true...For the first time, an Indian TV show has me hooked up like crazy 😆

Brilliant script, narrative n a superlative performance by Jennifer... The others are good too, but Jennifer has outdone herself in Beyhadh , I think...😃

This scenario is quite possible but I personally don't endorse it.
I'm still gunning for the show to go the Gone Girl way. Haha.

I think the truth about Maya's past could be that she's NOT Ashwin's daughter...She's Janvis's illegitimate child...Ashwin married her for her money n gave the child a name...He was a horrible step father n was only after money...

Btw, just an observation from Tuesday's episode. I feel the opening scene was carefully orchestrated by Maya to get into Vandy's good books. I do not think she genuinely meant any of it.😆

Gone Girl is a psychological thriller about a woman who fakes her death and frames it on her own cheating husband using a huge set-up. It's a must watch!

I don't think Maya was faking there...She doesn't yet know about Arjun's truth, if indeed this aspect of the story is true...

Gone Girl seems to be super exciting...Would love the show to go that way, if Arjun is indeed using Maya...

You maybe right because even the cop was acting like a Sutradhar wondering aloud if there was more to the huge public spectacle. Even the narrative deliberately wants the viewers to suspect Maya which can only mean, she isn't the killer.

Your theories are very well thought out & could be valid.

But we cannot totally rule out Maya also. Yes, her being behind everything is very predictable but still she cannot be omitted from the suspects list.

Saanjh on the other hand is a girl with morals innocent types but we must not forget her love for Arjun can also make her do anything & to see him happy she too can go to any extent cuz for Saanjh Arjun's happiness comes before everything. Also after the marriage I am seeing a change in Saanjh's behavior too like you pointed ...she seems to have calmed down a lot . Earlier she too never liked Maya much but after the marriage it seems she is not even a bit suspicious about her ...

Vandana though she wasn't in Mauritius but still she has been behaving like crazy .. like everything she hears now she's giving those weird expressions . She was the only one who had followed that officer outside to hear his convo & then again weird expression.

Arjun toh always in my list . Is bande ko abhi tak mein samajh nahi paya ..

Jhanvi also .. & I too feel she's even psychotic than Maya ..what this woman wants only she knows. One moment she's all guns blazing running after Ashwin & threatening him so that he does not cause disruption during Maya's marriage ..has body guards posted everywhere to keep away Ashwin ..though I want to know from which security agency does Maya & jhanvi hire securities cuz they do a very poor job of keeping Ashwin away 😆 ...& the moment Ashwin died she started sobbing hysterically creating a scene . Yeh aurat kabhi mom aur kabhi biwi banne ki chakkar mein confused hai 😆

From what I see of Beyhadh I feel they have left all angles open for anyone to turn negative & that's what I love about this show. There r very few like Shubh & Suman maybe who u can keep out of the list . Besides that kiski dimag mein kya chal raha hai it's very difficult to get.
