No wonder producers keep churning out Saas Bahu sagas (TRP topic)

So Beyhadh has a pretty low rating of about 0.6 and has never gone to 1 or above, if I remember correctly. I also know that Sony shows usually do not garner high TRPs.

However, some of their shows do have TRPs over 1, so I think many people are opting to not watch a fiction show that is different with a strong, independent leading lady.

Keeping this in mind, it is no surprise that production houses keep going back to making Saas Bahu type regressive soaps, with weak, helpless bahus being humiliated and at best indulging in kitchen politics.

Yeah, I don't think the makers will resort to that here because it is a finite series, but I was just generally saying that I can understand why production houses don't bother coming up with fresh ideas. People don't appreciate new concepts and strong heroines much.

Then why is KRPKAB garnering low TRPs too? It's replete w/ saas-bahu elements in it.

For Sony, only historical/mythological genres work the best.

^^Do those two shows (KRPKAB and ERSK) have the kind of melodrama, scheming and plotting like Star Plus shows do? I've seen only a few episodes, but they pale in comparison to likes of Ishqbaaz and Saathiya!

KRP/Beyhadh would rake in more numbers if they came on any other GEC. I'm pretty sure of it!

I agree.. It would surely had higher ratings if on other channel.
But also both the shows have to loose thier plot and drag the story if on another channel..

LOL...do you really think they have guts to show that?? In that case instead of promoting Maya wedding on outrageous scale they would have dared to show glimpses of dusky drama in promos🥱
