DISCLAIMER: Disagreeing is permitted, bashing isn't.These are my personal views and opinions on today's episode. I request you to respect my thoughts.
Beyhadh promised us a Mahaepisode (there's a lot of other things they promised too, getting to that later). Maha means great. There was nothing remotely great about today's episode in my opinion. Where do I begin?
Arjun, dear Arjun, what the hell is wrong with you? You were such a frustrating little thing today I felt like using you in place of a punching bag and boxing you until you lost/got your senses.
I remember after yesterday's episode I was pleasantly surprised and happy with Arjun. I thought he wasn't a Duffer after all. But today, once again, he proved his brainlessness. He is one selfish dumb guy. That's exactly what he is. He claims to love Maya but he walks off the mandap to tell Saanjh he loves her. Those are exactly the words Saanjh did not need to hear at that moment, because it would just make her realise he meant it in a friendly way and it would just make her heart break once again, and she was already hurting enough.
The level of Arjun's selfishness is incredible. He wants to marry Maya but at the same time he wants Saanjh to be there and witness it, although she admitted it hurt her and she couldn't take anymore of that pain. Let's be honest, today Arjun didn't need Saanjh. He could have married Maya and met Saanjh later. For once, he didn't require Saanjh to be there, even for moral support. But he stopped Saanjh once again and forced her be there for him and witness her nightmares.
Arjun needs to stop forcing Saanjh to do certain things. He needs to allow her to put herself before him and accept the he won't always be her priority. He needs to let her go. I see Saanjh being labelled as clingy, but today, Arjun held her back, unwilling to let her leave although she was ready to let go. The same happened when Saanjh deciddd to go to Singapore and start anew, Arjun held her back, he didn't allow her to leave. Saanjh is ready to let go, now it's Arjun's turn.
To all the people questioning why Maya remained at the mandap even after Arjun went to Saanjh and confessed his love for her, she stayed there because she believed nothing would stop her wedding - not the biggest fire, not Ashwin, not Saanjh. It wasn't the fact she didn't have self-respect, it was something much bigger than that, it was determination. Maya was determined to get married to Arjun under any circumstances, and she did.
Sony TV highly mislead the viewers with the wedding promos, not to mention, the wedding was outrageously advertised when in reality, it was all pretty catastrophic when it went down.
I was, overall quite let down and disappointed with the supposedly Mahaepisode of Beyhadh.
