" I love you Maya" she heard Arjun say to Maya. The three words which she had tried to say to him , but somehow she never been able to. Perhaps, because she had wanted him to find out his feelings for her and confess to her. There was times she had been so close to tell her duffer that he was more than her bestfriend , that she had always loved him . But unfortunately she had been afraid to ruin the friendship and lose the most important person in her life.
Saanjh fell down on the sand as her heart broke into million pieces, her whole body felt numb. Arjun loved someone else , the man she had as long as she can remember loved, he loved someone else. Tears fell from her eyes , as memories of them came through her eyes.
Saanj felt Arjun's eyes shift towards her and she turned around so he won't see her tears. This might be the worst day in her life , but for her duffer it was his best day and she could not spoil his day because of her tears. Saanj wiped her tears swiftly and turned around giving the two of them a gentle smile.
Arjun came running to her and said " Dusky, I am in love yaar " he said hugging her. Saanj froze, why did he has to make it more difficult for her . All she wanted to do was to break down in his arms, but she pushed him away gently. Before he could suspect something , she took his hand in Maya's hands and said " You are a lucky girl Maya, please don't break his heart. He is a duffer, but he is goodhearted. Please don't ever break his heart or hurt him" she said.
She saw Maya nod and hug Arjun happily , the smile on his face put balm on her heart even it was meant for someone else. Saanj moved away lifeless and took every step away from him. Saanj did not know how she ended in the mandir, but she was glad she did.
" I came here to ask something from you. Dad says if you ask something from heart from you, you answer. Then I am asking from the bottom of my heart to always keep him safe , loved and healthy. I am asking you to not let my fear of Maya being dangerous come true" she said remembering the dinner with Maya.
" Please don't let his heart break like mine" she pleaded in a barely whisper before she fell down and sobbed. She made a promise to herself that today was the last time she cried for him. Saanj had hit the wall and it was time for her to find the strength within herself to stand up and survive.
