Yes, totally! Aur arjun se kuch hone nai wala. He just looks at things the way the appear to him. Doesn't notice signs, or deduce anything that's appears fishy. Hes very casual.

Having said that, I hope they show his character growth as well. And he too helps maya in making her better.

Yes, Jhanvi to a great degree is responsible for what Maya is today, imo. Not entirely but certainly to a great degree. It's not just about the birthday incident, ever since the beginning of the show there's enough evidence to gather that shows how Jhanvi miserably failed as a mother and couldn't do anything concrete to protect her only daughter who was being physically, mentally and emotionally abused. All the physical injuries Maya suffered couldn't have all happened on her 15th birthday. It's enough to be able to deduce that she had been subjected to extreme violence for a couple of years, at least.

I don't blame Jhanvi for falling in love with Ashwin, sometimes you're blissfully unaware of a person's true nature. I don't even blame Jhanvi for not having fallen out of love because it's not easy falling in and out of love just like that. BUT after having known and seen the kind of monster Ashwin is, the first step Jhanvi should have taken was to ensure complete protection to her daughter and herself. Of course, we do not know yet as to why she didn't take an action against him and still continues get used by Ashwin but then it still doesn't take away from the fact that she could have something when there was a dire need for it. Her silence, submission, weaknesses and gullibility played a huge role in shaping up Maya's mindset and personality.

Yes, Jhanvi is to be partly blamed for what might have happened in Maya's childhood; for putting up with things that it has affected Maya to this extent. But at the end of the day, Ashwin is the actual culprit. To me, Jhanvi too was his victim, maybe not to the extent Maya is. But she is a victim and she too, actually needs help and counselling to get her to emotionally leave Ashwin. Plus, currently Jhanvi is actually trapped in between Ashwin and Maya with both of them controlling her. It would be nice to see her break free from all this at some point.

Your points are very much valid. In my opinion, jhanvi was a victim herself, and she has been controlled to a great degree by both Ashwin and Maya. There has to be more to the story. As u said earlier, jhanvi is a depressed soul. And somehow I feel both Maya n Ashwin have contributed to this. I'm not justifying jhanvi or saying she did not hv anything to do with maya's present state, but until we know for sure that is just jhanvi being a mere spectator to Ashwin's tortures on maya, we cannot comment, IMO.

We're trying to judge the characters too soon I feel, me included when I spoke abt Maya being a psycho/evil and stuff like that. Courtesy the immense excitement this show is generating with every passing episode. Sure Maya is not a psycho, tho I still believe it's some sort of personality disorder. Then again, we need to watch more to be sure.

@stephy yes, Ashwin is majorly responsible for all the havoc in Maya's n jhanvi's lives. I feel their whole family tho is abnormal. There's something striking abt all 3 of them that makes u think n speculate abt them.
