Welcome to Beyhadh forum! Yes this is a different show, with a kick-ass female lead who is in charge. Even though she's in charge, she is so damaged and vulnerable inside. She has been given the role traditionally given to a male lead in an Indian TV show. So when they said this show would be a "revolution of Indian TV" I guess they were not kidding!

I only started watching Indian TV shows a few years ago. I am a non-Indian. But these days I understand Hindi pretty well too. Lets just say I don't need subtitles anymore. A lot of Indian shows have regressive content, and I usually avoid such shows. I have watched Reporters, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and now Beyhadh on Sony TV. ALL those shows had more progressive and out of the box content!

I am glad they are trying something new and cant wait to see what lengths Maya will go to and will she win this race of love?
