Hello everyone! 😃My name is Tani and I am new here. Recently, a very brilliant show started, Beyhadh. Now let me just say that no one has ever loved Jennifer more than me. I die after her. I have loved her ever since DMG. 😳
So I looked around the forum yesterday and saw no stories. So here's mine. I hope you all like it. If you don't, well, I tried. 😃
Happy Reading!
(This is based on the recent Promo in which Maya is stuck in the elevator.)

(Arjun's POV)
God knows what she thinks of herself. She thinks she can just waltz in her and fire anyone she wants. Well, technically, she can. But that's not what is right. Just because she owns the place doesn't mean that she can unjustly fire someone. There should be a notice, one month at least, and then a valid reason followed.
I never will be able to understand her.
"Arjun!" Saanjh, my best friend, calls me from behind. "Tu pagal hai kya? Usse dhang se baat kia kar, wo teri boss hai. Tujhe uski zarurat hai, usse teri nahi. Uske paas bahaut saare photographers honge, samjha?" [Are you mad? You should talk to her politely, she's your boss. You need her, not the other way round. She has many photographers she can hire, got it?]
"Mei jaanta hu." I turn around. "Par mujh jaisa photographer usse kahi nahi milega." [I know that. But she'll never be able to find a photographer like me.]
"Aur tune unhe kaha ki teri shart ye hai ki agar wo Shilpa aur wo guard ko waapis hire kar lengi toh hi tu waapis job pe aayega? Tera dimaag toh kharab nahi hai?" She tsked. [And you said that only if she hired Shilpa and the guard back you would you come back to job? Are you crazy?]
"Trust me, Saanjh, I know what I'm doing." I have no idea what I'm doing.

(Maya's POV)
Unbelievable people. All of them. They do not know how to work in an office. That guard, what does he think? I paid him so well, but just for a 100 rupees, he agreed to defy me. And Shilpa, oh dear, she was like that from the start. 45 minutes? I saw him outside parking his car. Loyalty is the most important thing in an office. If you can't be loyal, you can't an employee. Everyone gets one chance, they both got theirs. So did Mr. Sharma.
He says that only if I hire Shilpa and that guard he would come back, does he think I'm crazy? I don't need him. I have much more talented artists who don't have an ego. He, without my permission, flashed my dress line to the public and, fine, it was a good idea, but that's not the point. He should have asked for my permission. Plus, he was fired. I asked him to take the termination letter.
Like I said - Unbelievable.
"Maya Ma'am!" My assistant calls, and I turn around. "Can you please give me the day off? I am getting married tomorrow and I need to go for a dress fitting." I know she's getting married tomorrow. I wished to give her a gift. But I can't let her think that she can get out of her work anytime she feels like it. I have to be strict.
"You know what, take the year off. Go off with your husband, I'm sure he'll take care of you." My assistant has been very good at her job. She hasn't once been late. I admired her and wanted to give her a raise. But I can't. I can't let my guard down.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry. Please forget I asked." I feel a pang in my heart. She walks off. I have to do something. I have to let her off work without making her think that I intentionally did it. Ugh. Why do I have to be like this?
-An Hour Later-
"Listen!" I call to my assistant, who sits right in the next cabin.
"Yes Ma'am? Do you need anything?"
"No, that'd be all. I don't have any work left for the day."
"So does that mean I can go, Ma'am?" She says a bit unsurely.
"If you must. Be here at 8 tomorrow or else you know what'll happen. You can go back early." I say, without looking up from my papers. Maybe I said too much.
"Okay ma'am." I can hear her smiling. "Good night."
"Good night." I nod.
"Thank you ma'am." She smiles as I look up.
"All the best." I smile back, letting my guard down for just once. But then I straighten my face and motion her to get out. She does, the smile not leaving her face. I look down, a smile appearing on mine nevertheless.
I think I should head home too.

(Arjun's POV)
All done. I changed the wiring for the elevator. As soon as she enters, the wires will snap. And the lights will go off, the elevator will stop. But I'm not that heartless, I've called an electrician. But he'll come probably in half an hour. That will give me enough time to teach her a lesson.
After about 15 minutes, Maya walks in. I immediately hide behind the other elevator. I wish she doesn't choose the wrong one. As I see she walks towards the one that's in right condition, I jump out of my place.
"Good evening!" I say cheerfully.
"Good evening." She says emotion-less.
"Take that elevator. It appears as it's here." I nod at the right one. "I'll wait for this one." I bump my hand into the one that's wrong. Means the that is in the right condition.
"Okay." She nods. The elevator tings and she enters the elevator. I grin. Now she'll know what fear is.
You messed with the wrong person, Maya.

(Maya's POV)
Why is he acting so sweet all of a sudden? He does realize that I'm not going to hire Shilpa back, doesn't he? God knows what's wrong with him.
I wait for a few seconds, waiting for the ground floor to reach. I don't want to go home today, quite honestly. Today, we are having a family dinner. My mom, the monster, and me. I can't wait for this night to be over. I wanted to stay at office, but darkness scares me. And the office will be too empty. I can't risk it.
Suddenly, the elevator stops. It jerks up. I grab the poles attacked to the walls for support. What the hell happened? I look at the screen, and it shows two dashes. Then the lights go off. Oh my god. No. No. This can't be happening.
This can't be happening.
I pull my phone out and quickly type in the electrician's number. No service. I wanted to have that fixed! Oh god! I'm claustrophobic, I'll not be able to survive! I look at my watch, it's 8 o'clock. All the employees might have left. Oh god, who will help me?
Minutes pass, I stand there, trying to breathe in air. Suddenly, darkness invades me. My eyes start drooping and my legs wobble. I sit down on the floor, my knees pulled up against my chest. Whenever it happens, I always sit down. It helps, sometimes.
I hope it helps.

(Arjun's POV)
It's been 10 minutes since Maya has been in there. Just 5 minutes more and the electrician will be out. It'll be over soon, and Maya will understand what fear is. I'm sure even Satan doesn't scare her. I laugh to myself and then gather my things.
"PLEASE! PLEASE! HELP ME, PLEASE! I'M... PLEASE HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!" I hear shouting coming from downstairs. Shit. She seems too scared. Did I go too far? I run down and call the electrician.
"Hello? Aap kab aa rhe hai, lift kharab hai." I say into the phone as soon as he picks it up. [Hello? The elevator is broken, when are you coming?]
"Arre, 8:15 ho gaye hai bhaisahb, hum nahi aa skte." He replies, clearly drunk. [It's 8:15 now Sir, I can't come now.]
"Aap ye kya keh rhe hai? Dekhiye koi andar phasa hua hai. Jaldi kijiye please." [What are you saying? Look, someone is stuck inside. Please hurry up.]
I wait for a reply, but I don't get any. The line soon goes dead. OH SHIT! I have to do something.
"PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP! PLEASE HELP! HELLO? IS SOMEONE THERE? PLEASE HELP!" I gulp. She's so scared. I have to do something. I run towards the door of the elevator.
"Maya?" I say.
"Arjun? Is that you?" She's crying. Shit. I should've known. I'd gone too far.
"Tum tension mat lo, Maya, mei tumhe bacha lungi. Just hang in there." I run towards the meter room, where all the wiring is. [Don't worry, Maya, I'll save you.]
Oh shit. I never thought I made such a mess. I try connecting the wires. The red goes...I look around and find a spot.. there. The blue goes...There.
"ARJUN!" I hear her call. Oh god, what do I do?
***
(Maya's POV)
He's here. Oh thank god. And he's helping me.
"ARJUN!" I scream. Darkness scares me. "ARJUN PLEASE HELP!" I break down into sobs.
"I'm coming Maya!" I hear him shout back. "Wait."
Minutes pass, and I hear a ding. Relief floods through as the doors open and cool air hits me. Light, oh thank god. But most of all, I'm thankful for the person in front of me. Without thinking, I slam into him, throwing my arms around his neck.
"Thank god." I whisper, hugging him tighter. Sobs break through me as I continue crying. I struggle to breathe and try to take in air. I'm a mess, and the only thing holding me together right now is his hand around my waist and the other on the head, rubbing soothingly.
"Shh, shhh, it's all right." He coos. "It's okay."
"I..I can't breathe." I hug him tighter.
"Hold on one second." He tries to pull away, but I pull him back.
"NO! Please no!" I grab onto his waist. "Don't go."
"Come with me, then." He gently lifts my head off of his chest and his hand removes from my head. His other arm remains on my waist as we start walking. I put my head back on his shoulder and sigh. Oh thank god.
"Here." He says suddenly, holding a paper bag in front of my face. I pull my head up from his chest and wipe my tears. He presses his lips on my forehead and I feel myself shudder. "I'm sorry." He mumbles. Why is he appologizing? He hands me the paper bag and motions towards it. "Breathe into it. It will help calm you down."
I can't utter a word. I take the bag from him. His hands goes to my head and starts rubbing soothingly. Like a parent is making his child drink milk. "Breathe in." He says. I do as told. "Breathe out." I release all the air. "Breathe in." We repeat that for a few minutes. Fatigue overcomes me as I put my head on his chest and continue to breathe into the bag. After a few seconds, drowsiness overcomes me. My hand falls from my mouth and my body goes limp. Two hands wrap around my waist, and I know from the very second they touch me, that I'm safe.
I let darkness take me.
